I don't go into the main Gaian forums anymore. I never find a topic that I can stay in for longer than a minute or two before I get bored with it. That's why I prefer being here in Why Not; the topics always keep my interest for a few days (if it's a fairly active one) - even if they're the oddball ones about basically nothing.
Maybe it also because of the fact that we're all of the same intellectual mentality around here and can have some good conversations about things unlike some of the topics in the main Gaian forums.
