It wasn't much longer before Bob felt the last of his energy slip away andhis entire frame felt limp. He could no longer lift his legs or press back against the attacker. The last thing he could see before any form of color or shapes slipped away from him, was the the bright blood-lust in the shadow's eyes. It was a look he would never forget.

With a thud his frame was dropped and left to the ground.

Cain licked his muzzle with a sense of satisfactory. That was one down, one to go and one to take. His ear swiveled back with his entire frame to follow suit. Cain's large wings folded against his sides while his head held high. His nostrils flared on his next few inhails.

The smell of blood was feint, almost non exsistant. That trail he had followed to their location was being masked.

Cain's eyes narrowed on the water where the target had been before. It wasn't long before his eyes caught a blurred glimmor of another color, one very similar to his own hair. His ears perked forward toward the falls. In addition to his great sight in the night, his ears were incredably sensitive.

Even as he stepped forward his ears were held toward the falls. He could hear something feint, very feint. There was only one way to be sure.

His head lowered a bit as he begun to stick his nose to the falls. It was hard to be sure past the water, but the fall was thin enough to see the one bright color that did not blend well to the rocks behind it.

But where was the distinctive white coat?

(Curious.)

As Cain approached the falls, Riot's heart only pounded harder. Riot could never recall a time where he was so still.

When Cain's dark nose peek passed the falls, and a strong whiff of blood and a strange scent flooded in Riot's nose. A paw shot out like sharp clawed lighting at the smell.

With a roared mew, Riot lunched after the maw. All four paws extended, claws out, everything sharp in his arsenal was out and poised for flesh. Maw parted and aimed to latch.

Edited: add 151 to word count:

Puffed like a Cotten ball that had been soaked in water then electrified, Riot's body was flexed and ready. His tail looked like a Lint duster with the fury of a thousand hot terrifying Suns. Claws glistened vibrantly with the thrust of blood and monster flesh!

This was him time to shine, to show all that he had Learned and grasped from Bob. His mentor and dear friend had told him he was a natural leader. And with being a leader, one must stand up to defend those that followed and loved him.

Blindly the cub lunched as his roar...mew was so loud he felt it shake his little -powerful-monster-stopping-rip-roaring-bad-dude-stoping-body. In all sense of the word he was ready to go out with his claws in flesh and blood on his maw and teeth. It was time for the weaver and world to see what The riot was about Riot.

(Why not)

Just as Cain had taken Bob by surprise, karma was served as the sudden movements of the pink-blur suddenly flew out of the waterfall toward his face. Touche'.

A sharp sting suddenly struck at Cain's nose as the cub latched onto his face and begun its aggressive frenzy. Cain released a startled hiss. Damn this little-

HIs head violently shook back and forth a few times each as a default reaction to being surprised. Wings flared out again before he whipped his head to the side than thrust it downward. At the same time his own -much- larger paws and claws moved to push and toss the cub in the same direction Bob had fallen.

Nikita's eyes cracked open to the sudden noises coming from behind the falls. Her vision was still glossed over from her near crying experience, in turn blurred further by the waterfall. What was going on out there? A soft mewl passed her lips while her head moved. Just slightly. It really hurt to move still, and her paw wasn't helping with getting anywhere.

Where had Bob and Riot gone to? For the first time in a long time, she suddenly felt very afraid. She could hear something from the other side of the fall, but it was hard to make out every detail.

(Consciousness.)

fierce claws and maw remained latched as Riot 'bear trapped' on Cain's head and face. Maw grabbed on tightly on what felt like flimsy flesh.

Though just As a cork from a bottle of wine, the trap released as the cub was slammed into the Earth. Wind was forced from the cub at the impact, however his Consciousness remained. As sharp air filled his lungs a revved and intense growl left the cub. All four Paws grabbed and swatted the bigger Balam as he had no where to go, but to latch on the paw what whipped at him.

He wasn't going to give up that easily.

A sharp pain shot stars across the cubs sight, as he felt earth side from under him. Halting against Bob's firm and limp body, Riot hadn't even realized what had stopped him as paws slipped under his frame to pick up his little tattered body once more. Turning himself, he dazily faced their attacker...

Blurred eyes, saw what looked like a moving black shadow with a pink fluff....

Trying to move forward, legs shook and he almost stumbled forward, but he caught himself and blue eyes quickly flicked at the water fall before looking back at the shadow.

Maw lips pulled back as teeth showed themself's and a wild cub's hiss passed wicked maw and docked ears.

Cain's own blood halted his sense of smell instantly. A mild annoyance if anything. He could still see and hear, but now he could only smell blood. A smell he loved, but was more frustrated by the fact it was his own and was caused by this little runt (lol).

His eyes looked down his bloody nose to the cub as it got back to its feet. He had to admire the fight in this one. It could have possibly been of use... but now it was more than personal. He was told that the two of the earth were of no use, they should be disposed of. It was a task that he would follow to the letter. There was no room to make exceptions here.

Cain scoffed at the cub, not even giving the satisfaction of a snarl. This thing was beneath him and was now becoming a waste of time. Cain did not like to waste time...

Digital pads spread wide as he moved to backhand the cub away, hopefully knocking it out for good this time. It hardly looked like it could provide any kind of meal, so Cain had little care if it were to break in any way...

Claws drugged into the ground, before the Cub made move for another attack. just as he leapt into the air for another onslaught of claws, Cain's own swipe connected with the side of Right face. The smack caused the cub to ragdoll flip over Bob's unmoved body.

Stuggling thoughts fought in a pitch black darkness to force his body to move. Limbs wouldn't move, and even Struggling thoughts where over taken by a fog.

The cub twitched slightly, claws remained fixed and poised. Slowly his body relaxed and stilled his breathing clearly indicated he was still vary much alive...

Cain watched the cub fly through the air and land just past the silver B'alam. Fortunate for the cub, he had wasted so much time already, Cain turned back toward the waterfall when there was no sign of further movement. He didn't check to see if the cub was broken, or pause to take a drink of his blood. There was no time. The earthen were already doomed to perish and Morning Star would be disappointed if they were late.

Now he could hear more mewling coming from behind. There the target was. He didn't have to wait long before the white cub came limping out of the waterfall. Her right paw tucked close to her frame while her head hung a bit low. She too seemed ready to pass out... pity. But it made things easier.

"Hurry, come with me." Cain instructed as he approached. "Before it comes back and claims you as well."

Nikita limped forward, oblivious to the scene before her. Sight was mostly blurred still, but quickly coming in focus.

Her crimson eyes widened as the great pink shadow begun to approach. All she could really make out clearly on him was the strange white marking along his tail and side, it looked like an odd snake, and the pink ridge along his back.

It spoke, but she couldn't comprehend the words. What was coming?

Just before she felt the ground fall from her feet and her scruff be pulled on again she caught a glimpse of a fallen mountain, and cradled by it the fat-headed earth.

"Ry! BoB!" She squeaked in as loud a call as she could manage with her sore mouth.

Despite her efforts to flail she could hardly move while the shadow had hold of her neck. It was gentle, but moving away from her friends.

"Go back! Lemme go! Ry! Bob!!! Ry!!" She croaked.

Slowly her flailing begun to wane and soon she could feel wind rushing past her frame. Her eyes closed while her frame begun to relax. What happened next or where they were going was lost to her senses while her captor sprung from a tree and took flight.

Mission was successful... now to return.

(15+ wake.)

---

In a camp a bit aways from where the incident at the waterfall took place. MorningStar waited for the return of his prized Needle. In darkness the Magnifent Light Balam waited. His shining gold and white coat stood out brilliantly in the dark as if a patch of moonlit snow. Almost as if it had a lightforce all it's own, however disceptive that really was. Sat, tall and still on hunches the figure waited...

Brightly shown ears, swiveled and flicked to the sounds around him, MorningStar waited and listened. Teal almost white eyes remained sealed behind closed lids. A deep breath was taken as the leader did his best to calm the storm that quiled inside him. Fear of the dark around him, he didn't light a fire for a number of reasons: one, their position needed to stay concealed and two, he had control of the darkness when his own eyes where closed. It blinded him to the knowing just how dark it was around him. It was a if some kid of hidden hope or fear that when he opened his gaze he would be in the wretched cave once more, or maybe even to a brightly lit open area. Either way, he was I control with his eyes closed. It was the lesser of two hells...

Ears flicked up and perked at the sound of quite wings, fluttered in the night beating heavily with his prize in tow.

Cain. MorningStar was sure, his second hadn't failed him. No doubt lingered in his mind, for he was a faithful servant.

A gleeful tail rose and set in hopeful contumplation. Claws rolled out front their sleeves. How will the story start, they needed the faith of the cub that would soon be there, needed her to believe that their way was the only 'true' way. That they had 'saved' her.

Soon.

Cain managed the entire flight with the cub passed out, which made it easier on him. The last thing he wanted was a cub flailing about by the scruff. It would be a shame to loose the prize before it could have been presented and evaluated. Cain had already confirmed that she was strong. They had been stalking the trio for weeks now, watching their games and their progress. She had a fighting spirit.

As the shadow of the camp came into view, Cain spread his wings wide before tilting downward. He had to maintain a slow decent. One that would not jar the cub at all. He didn't want to tear her neck off... or damage it further. It's leg was already a mess.

Within minutes of coming into sight of the camp, Cain had come to a swift and silent landing only a few feet from Morning Star. During the day, Morning was his guide, and by night Cain was Morning's eyes.

Carefully he set the curled cub in front of Morning. He wouldn't see much past the young cub's white coat, but he could inspect more in the morning. Thankfully, she was still passed out...

"She was injured in rough play before I arrived... unfortunately, the others did not survive." Cain reported without emotion in his tone. One could never be too careful, she could hear something even in a deep slumber.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 21, 2014 9:49 pm
As Cain landed, MorningStar's ear twitched and turned as it was Lightly heard, he was so quite. However, MorningStar was a good listened. As Cain's scent and the cubs' own smell flooded the Leader's nose, it caused a smile to slip across his maw. However there was too the faint smell of blood, perhaps it was just the Earth tribe on his maw...

Perfect.

"Injured?" MorningStar repeated tiling his head slightly, "and what a pity." The leader spoke releasing a sigh. Leave it to Earth tribe to be so careless.

"No matter ." The B'alam shook his head slightly, "let's make her comfortable it will be quite a shock, when she wakes." MorningStar spoke, keeping his eyes closed, and thoughts concentrated....

"Well done, Cain. You 'rescued' her just in time." The leader went on to speak, purposely keeping his works carefully chosen Incase they had over hearing words

----

A faint amount of time passed and Slowly, a fogged mind scrambled, fighting at consciousness. Sore paws shifted and gripped, tail twitched...

With a heavy struggle, Riot finally managed to pull an eye open his sight was welcomed by the realization that his whole body ached with every breath. At a taken breath, the cub squeak out a cough which kicked up a cloud of dirt at the tip of his maw.

What had happened? Why did his body hurt?

Suddenly like a lightning bolt everything quickly flooded to him. His little chest quickly began to rise and fall, as every breath caused him to be closer to hyperventling.

"Bob!" The cub cried. "Bob..."The cub mew cracked, his paws stretched and he tried to move, but it was like a heavy weight rested and paralyzed whole body. Chocolate tail thrashed and hit the ground in a thud.

Mewing turned to desperate tears. He couldn't feel the side of his face...

And...

Nikita.

"Nikita..." The cub moaned, not being able to get up to see if his friend was safe , Bob he could view in the corner of his blurred wet sight...

"Bob....."

Riot felt his eye start to be taken over by a heavy weight once more.

"B...ob....."

"Yes M'lord." Cain responded in his deep voice.

He than turned to tend to the small cub's needs, such as cleaning the blood from her fur and bracing the leg (The knowledge of how he had gained over the time he spent with Morning Star).

Once the cub was mended and cleaned, Cain carefully curled around the cub. It was, after all, simply to be sure she was comfortable. Those were his instructions and he would folllow them to the letter. Despite it being night and his usual time to thrive. Unless instructed otherwise, he desired to do nothing else.

Cain's ears swiveled toward Morning Star, his head remained held high.

"M'lord, you should get your rest. I will continue to keep watch."

---

Bob's eye cracked to the blurry mixture of colors and dirt. He could feel every inch of his body as if it had been anchored and merged with the ground he now lay uppon. Thought seemed impossible at this point. His mind was so muddled in a thick fog, he oculd hardly comprehend the tone that suddenly caught his ears.

It sounded like Riot, but the words were blurred and muffled.

*ung* Bob groaned and tried to shift his frame.

Nothing but a mere quiver. He felt drained from toe to nose. It seemed even a chore to keep his eyes barely open.

"Riot?" Bob groaned. His entire frame quivered as he continued to try in vein to move. He had no concept of how much time had passed. Was that the sun overhead? "Nikita..."

MorningStar's ears remained poised as he listened to the sounds around him in the dark. He wouldn't outwardly admit it, but he felt safer with Cain around, espically in the dark. The dark, how it dispised him, curse the Weaver.

"Have you gotten your fill, for tonight?" The leader asked as Cain suggested him to rest. MorningStar knew and trusted that Cain had gotten feed and took care of what was needed for his well being before he returned, it was an unspoken necessity. However, MorningStar was a good leader and checked over such things, to make sure his followers where well and taken care of.

MorningStar remained poised and erect, waiting for an answer before he made himself comfortable and prepared for rest. At first show of light they needed to leave, it would be light enough for him to see, however dark enough for Cain to as well. Morning Twilight.

----

"NIKITA!" The cub mewed, which he hoped could be a powerful roar , he couldn't hear or see his friends. That monster attacked him and Bob.

Bob-

Quickly ears swiveled, as flicked down as he heard a faint noise behind him.

"Bob-" the cub repeated and with a slow tight struggle the fat head finally unmerged from the earth, he felt all his muscles tighten and threaten to cramp.

Almost.

More tears, escaped past little cub eyes as Riot managed to almost sit up. Claws dug into the ground where he pulled to try and be on his stomach.

A growl reverberated from the cub, tail whipped wildly. Ripped and worn muscles pulled and flexed.

Gah! Another squeaked growl left the cub, as back paws kicked at the ground. If felt as if someone as big as Bob sat on him!

Till.

Finally. With released gasp, Riot felt earth under his creamed chest....

Head flopped on the ground where his dirty face looked at the crumbled mountain of Sir. Bob.

"Get up." The cub mewed, his voice weeping with pleed.

"Come on, Bob. You can do it..." Riot's tone soften as a childish hope tried to encourage their protector.

---
(Edit: add 153 words to word count)

Come on, Bob.

Another defeated mew left Riot as he tried to encourage his fallen protector. Ears slipped and angled forward.

Defeated, riot didn't know how much time had passed since, he was smack and knocked out.

Inching a little closer, Riot's muzzled gently nudged the fallen mountain. The peak that bareily move. Riot's tail straightened and hit that ground in a frustrated thud. It was so hard too move for him, something must have really bad happened to Bob.

What -did- that monster do to Bob, to beat him up so badly. He didn't have any real bad marks on him-
Riot hadn't seen what had happened hiding behind the water fall with Nikita....

Nikita! Was his friend okay, did she manage to stay hidden? The little cub' mind had been distracted by the fallen Bob, and the swirling of his own thoughts to think to go find out the grim fate of his friend.

"Yes." Can answered without so much as a turn of his head.

His deep pink eyes surveyed the area closely for any signs of danger that may be on the horizon. Large ears perked forward and were as intunned to the area around them, as they could hear much more than he could possibly hope to see.

This night he had more than his fill, as his intent on feeding was not just for energy. The silver B'alam had no chance after all of his energy had been stolen. Surely by now the pitiful creature was on his way back into the weaver's threads. Or however that works. Perhaps the weaver simply tosses those aside that have been removed from the design. Cain would not put such a cruel act past such a cruel "idea".

Cain's right ear shifted downward as the young cub stirred a little and begun to mewl. A soft rumbling noise begun to rattle throughout his frame, which almost immediately stilled the cub back to sleep once more. A strange noise... but it worked.

---

Bob continued to struggle against his body to lift himself from the ground. Even at the plea of Riot''s for him to 'get up', he could not find the strength. His teeth clenched before he drew in a sharp breath.

Through all the effort, his only reward was his eyes opening slightly wider. The world was still a foggy blur to match that in his mind.

"Riot... are you alright?" Bob gasped in the moment he unclenched his teeth.

Despite not getting yup, or having the strength to, he continued to try. His frame trembled at times when there seemed success, but success in merely lifting his head was an ungraspable accomplishment.

"Where is Nikita?" He heaved a response after another failed attempt to lift his tail.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 22, 2014 12:28 pm
"Vary good." left MorningStar as he gave a respectful nod to his Trusted Needle. Hearing the strange purring sound, caused the Leader's ear to turn slightly, before both lowered. Slowly the tip of his tail raised and fell in a slight tick.

Such a strange sound indeed. Whatever, it was to comfort the cub, and it was needed.

"Well done, my good and faithful servant." Left MorningStar softly. It was good to see such unquestionable loyalty, Cain would be rewarded.

Now.

Time for a bit of rest, before they headed off.

Laying down, MorningStar let his chest rest on the earth under him, as his paws made for a suitable pillow.

However, where was...

Picking up his head, MorningStar turned himself to grab at a object that rested at the side of him. Pulling it on his paws the brown and purple pelt made a wonderful and soft item to rest one's head on. Much more comfortable then the hard earth. Snuggling his maw into the fur, MorningStar almost felt he could release his own happy purr...

---
After a few inches of a flop of a worm, Riot's quivering legs managed to pull himself up on raw paws.

A few wobbled steps took him to Bob's maw. Licking the top of his guardians head, he hoped such comfort would help. when Nikita would do such a thing, it made him feel better.

"I don't know." The cub mewed, picking up his head he looked over Bob and for any sign that was Nikita. Lifting his maw, he could only smell blood.

Stumbling Riot took off around Bob, toward the waterfall.

"Nikita!" Riot called, in a flop and "sakduosh' the cub hit water. In a weighed struggle paws gripped onto the edge behind the water fall. Looking in there hiding place, nose went wild in hopes...a blue eye watched the shadows in disbelief and concentration as if his own blurred sight was playing tricks on him. He had left her right there....

No mater how hard he tried, there was still no Nikita.

letting out a distraught mew, he pushed off and quickly left the water. reaching the earth, Riot stumbled as back paws refused to stop moving. His chin met the earth once more, but desperate paws pulled him forward and up. Tail stood up tall for balance.

A sinking dread returned to his chest, as he felt his heart and breath pick up in speed in panic.

"Nikita! Come on, this isn't funny. Come out-it's safe now." The cub whined and hoped the weaver it was just another one of their games and she was hiding. After all she was an expert hider...maybe she was able to stay hidden.

However much the cub hoped and wished, the sticky unsettling reality sat uneasily at his chest. It caused him to stop and sit on his hunches.

She was gone....

"NIKITA!!" The little cub brokenly roared, dropping his head back his maw opened as wide as it possibly could as if hoping to make they cry go louder.

Bob's eyes opened further to the gentle consoling of the little cub. He would have expected Nikita to be the one to be comforting him as such, as she usually did, but all he could see was Riot. He couldn't even sense another spirit nearby other than Riot's own.

His eyes trailed after Riot as he trudged through the dirt and stream to search for Nikita. Even from where he was laying he could see the disrupted dirt where there must have been footprints. Perhaps a sign of a slight struggle? Yes, his own struggle with the shadow.

He groaned and continued to rise. It still was not going to happen...

Upon the ground, just before the waterfall, was the small paw-prints of Nikita, three each as she walked on only three paws and the much larger prints of teh shadow. The prints on the ground were reminiscent to when Bob normally grabbed the cubs by the scruff, if one were to take notice.

Riot's calls were meet with only the somber rusting of the leaves above and the soft rushing of the mini falls of the stream. Every bit of nature seemed to simply watch the tragedy's aftermath... Nikita was gone.
