User ImageSo many new sights, so many new smells, so many new, strange things! Like a bowl in the earth filled with water. Just water. Nothing else. It was water, stretching out and down and out and around and out. Beautiful. Absolutely magnificent. It caused the corners of Tl'iish's mouth to twitch and his tail to stand tall. He said not a word but gazed out at the lake under the blue, blue sky. The lake the locals called the Weaver's Mirror. And that was another wondrous thing--others. The locals. They were like him. Not just that they were big, furry things that ate other furry things (that were smaller than them), but they were big, furry things that ate other furry things (that were smaller than them) that bore orbs of water on his forehead. And those things didn't go away! Not that his ever did, but they'd grown smaller and less bright across the desert to this place, and--

Well. Anyway. It was more water than Tl'iish had ever seen in his life. Not that he'd seen much water in his life, or that his life had even been very long so far. In fact, it had been pretty short--just a few scant days to get to this place, finding little pools of water in the desert as if to lead him here. The corners of his mouth twitched again. Good, good, wonderful good. The Weaver had brought him here, to be with his people. And he couldn't be more grateful.

He closed his eyes and dipped his paw into the water, down to the ankle where his orbs glittered with longing. It was cool around his paw, swirling around his short fur and against his skin. Others like him were furrier, hairier. They looked more like water. But the water could get into his skin much easier without the hair in his way. He closed his eyes and let the feeling of water consume him. Water finds water. Yes. So it does.

User ImageThough it appeared that Jasper was napping, he was really still fairly alert while lounging near the enormous lake. With his eyes shut, he listened more closely to his surroundings. What he was listening for was the water, in the lake as well as other parts of what was around him. To him, there was water every which way.

Jasper had been quite still. But this was just until his eyes began to open and his tail arched in a slow swish along the earth he was upon. He next lifted his chin from between his paws and all of a sudden could not help but stretch before returning to a similar position as beforehand, this time now gazing at the crystal clear reflection of the clouds and sky on the lake's surface.

As a soft breeze passed, let his eyes close briefly and lifted his torso further up to take a seated stance instead to allow more of the air to thread through his fur.

In fact, he continued to hold his gaze steady as moments passed and his mind began to wander. He began to ponder again about questions that recurred to him, that crossed and flowed, whorled in his mind time and time again in his existence.

When he had first seen Mirro te Weavia, he had looked in all directions he could manage to send his field of vision to take in. The sky with its clouds looked endless and the lake seemed to wordlessly call out the connection between them. Was it correct to think there could or rather is a connection between the lake and the sky and the clouds? He was and felt new and uncertain of his own thoughts, still learning and also with some contradiction, feeling a sense of sureness that he would continually find there was much to be learned.

From where the sky and clouds loomed above the waters of Mirro te Weavia, rivers, and earth, rain fell from drizzles to downpours. There was water here and there was water there that was the way his logic was flowing in these periods of thought, among all the puzzling and all the questioning trains of his mind that were currently in motion.
