[PRP] Silence is golden... (Milly/Abel)

As Milly repeated herself, Abel's attention remained frozen on her. His brown tail twitched as the relization of her actually speaking came to him.

She just...spoke.

Ears slowly untucked as his eyes widened just ever so slightly. She leaned closer and carefully nuzzled him. It was a guestured he wasn't framilure with, but it was comforting. He couldn't help but lean into the affection, it was so nice and comforting. Is this what it is like having friends?

"Okay." Abel answered firmly, though the tone was a little 'slow', only because it truded though compleat awe. Nodding he was double to make sure she understood that he understood.

Tilting his head to the question, Abel couldn't help but ponder the phrase.

"Aren't those Reeds..." Abel spoke as he shifted a paw to point to the vines at Milly's paws.

As Abel continued to stare at her in silence but his ears slowly perks up from the skull, Milly fidgets consciously, not sure if she said those words correctly or if her voice sounds okay and she stares at him with faint worried look in her eyes. When she nuzzled him, he leaned into it and it made her smile along with a warm affectionate feeling spreading through her chest, resulting in her purring happily because he didn't reject that friendly nuzzle.

Her ears swivels before pointing forward curiously when Abel says 'ok' while nodding which caused her to nod as well in a silent acknowledgment that she understand what he's saying. When he points at her vines and inquiring about 'reeds', she looks down at her vines curiously while tilting her head to side, momentarily thinking that he was asking if she could read those vines.

A uncertain nod of Milly's head finally happened after few heartbeats of silence before a proverbial light bulb went on above her head and she shakes her head vigorously. "Um..." Her rough voice appears as she squints her eyes. "N-No.. No reeeed......" She falters as she realizes that she don't know how to say 'vine' and her ears droops momentarily. The vines twitches before floating up in front of Abel in a single letter- "A" . "You see.... t... t..." She struggles as she tries to speak and falling short on how to explain this.

Her eyes shifts around worriedly before landing on Abel with a hopeless expression while the vine remained in the shape of 'A'. "It A." She attempts to make herself clear that she wants to know if he could read the basic alphabets then maybe she could go from there...

Straightening from the little friendly nuzzle, Abel watched Milly carefully. As she slowly spoke, his ears remained ready and perked. He gave her all the time she needed to work out the words. It seemed as if she had never spoken before, which had to be hard if never really done. Abel couldn't recall it being that hard, which was strange for him to understand. Perhaps it just didn't come easily for her, she after all knew how to 'reed', and Abel didn't-what ever it was.

As the vines rose and formed a mysterious sign.

"An "A" Abel's head tilted and his paw repelaced it's self on the ground. A ear twitches and his attention pulled away to take a glance at his flock.

Okay. They where good.

Looking back at Milly, he wondered in part what they where doing and what she was showing him. His tail flopped back and forth, from each side in thought. Hmm,

The symbol was an 'A'.

"Does it always look like that?" The thought was a curious one....
