Pwnder Kangit 0Ul I hate to see anybody leaving Gaia because of this, but I certainly do not blame you, and I expect that I won't be far behind. I agree with most everything you've cited, and the new site is beyond being in bad taste. The part that's bothering me the most right now, however, is that users still seem to be clueless to the fact that underage money was used to finance this new site (which is a lame site, I might also add). I'm hoping that at least ONE responsible parent catches their underage child perusing this new site and puts it all together that the Gaia giftcards; etc. they've been giving little Suzie/Johnny have been used for something like this. One good lawsuit will take care of the beasts Gaia Interactive has unleashed. I'm hopeful for the worst on all counts. I know that makes me sound like an evil wench, but I'm being candidly honest here.
You will be missed, my dear, but you have the support and understanding of many here that completely understand why it had to happen. emotion_hug Why does that make you evil? I want them to get a lawsuit from this too. cat_ninja Same here stare A lawsuit probably won't shut them down but will possibly bring into question the moral fiber of their company and might get them to straighten up. Good to hear on all counts! I felt like the Evil Witch of the West saying that, but I truly mean it, and I fully expect it to happen. One parent out of thousands is not out of the realm of possibility, and there's a good chance that a responsible parent will get clued in real quick as to what's going on here and will file some kind of suit against Gaia Interactive. The US is very litigious, and for once, I'm hoping for the worst case scenario to happen. It's well deserved, and it's been a long time coming.
At the very least, I hope for a very public smearing of those running the show here, and a call for their dismissal(s). Civil suits are also a possibility along with personal lawsuits brought against those that decided it was okay to do something like this. Especially without any kind of disclaimer and/or process for age verification to view graphic pornography.

Civil suits are also a possibility along with personal lawsuits brought against those that decided it was okay to do something like this. Especially without any kind of disclaimer and/or process for age verification to view graphic pornography. There really is no evil about it. Even though we feel that way, we will still be sad to see it happen and know that it is a well deserved punishment. Opening up hope for a change for the better in the end. Kinda like a loved one who gets in trouble with the law. We know they did it, deserve the punishment for it, but hate the fact that it is happening. All we can do is hope that a greater lesson is learned in the end and something changes for the better because of it. I actually experienced the same thing in February when my son went to juvenile detention for his aggressive behavior, he has Aspurgers and has always been very difficult. I hated having it happen to him but I thought that maybe, just maybe it would be an enlightening experience for him. Because no matter what I, or anyone else, told him would happen to him if he kept acting the same way, he either didn't get it or didn't believe it, similar to the current user base outrage. When it actually happened, he did some time, got a clue, and when he got back in just 10 days, he did a complete 180. I've rarely had a problem at school since, what is crazy about it is that I didn't think that it would actually happen and I felt stupid for keeping up my hope, but it did!. Basically, my words and knowledge never affected him, but the action did. I guess that is the basis/hope I justify wanting Gaia to get in trouble upon. Some times someone else has to drive home the point in a more aggressive way ie: an angry parent, or civil action in this case. They really should have been just a bit more specific with the route they were going to take with this new site or never divulged the idea to make one at all, for their own sake. Many were expecting something more suited to a Gaia-similar site that excluded anyone under the age of 18 with other features....other than blatant porn plastered all over the place for any one to see. Its just wrong and disrespectful and I'm sure half the active user base has already been exposed to it. Just soo many levels of "wrong" going on there. Sorry for the life story though... it is the only realistic comparison to my feelings that I could make xp

It has seemed to many of us as though Gaia has been acting like a rebellious teen, though we all view them (staff/admin/etc) in the parental role. They've lied to us; they've ignored us; they've insulted us and now...they've crossed the line to where it will most likely go far beyond us.
Admin will have no control; nor will staff and we, the users, will most certainly have no control. There's a plethora of possibilities and ramifications to come of this, not the least of which might possibly be the trafficking of kiddie porn given the fact that so many underage users on this site have already been exposed to this new nonsense, and can not only easily view it, but can easily join in the madness.
It's just simply unreal to me that anything like this would happen, and I thought the new site might be along the lines of what you mentioned; maybe a few nips showing on our avis or a bulge on the guy avis or something. But the offense is much worse: This is the real deal with real pictures being put out there with this whole "Unravelling" thing. The flopping d**k gifs are just the tip of the iceberg, and I think that something big might come of this. Much bigger than Gaia Interactive might be prepared to handle.
And I say "GOOD!" It's well-deserved.

You will be missed but I completely understand why you are going, from what I have seen shared about that site I can see that many will most likely follow you. *hugs* I did not know you too well but I understand why you are going and do not blame you.
I will stay but never again put another cent into this site. They will be sued for this very soon mark my word, and the government will most likely get involved as well and I have seen that coming for a fair time. good luck and good journeys to you in life.
