I look at it this way, with the mass amounts of gold being granted daily and the ease of access to it with the use of GC, it is an easy way to get gold by those off site gold traders. It's a lot easier than their previous methods of botting and artificially inflating items with mules and such. They just have to scam people and take advantage of those discounted sales on items and gold generators. Then resell the gold they make from it all on their sites for profit. Gaia became an easy target for this when they decided to started granting gold for cash in large doses.
Not to say that it
is Gaia's fault, these scammers are doing it on on other sites too, but Gaia is easy now.
Just with that screen shot in the blog, how did they know that users wanted Gaia cash? or was it just an example?
I just see red flags and hear bells going off, but that started happening back in August
emotion_facepalm I'm not going to run around screaming it's Gaia's fault in no way, but they did make themselves a target by releasing Gold Generators. Its just another drawback to Gaia's continuously releasing them.
