When Shaheen wasn't fighting titans, or harvesting Fear from humans, or staking out the haunted house for a bit of fun and bloody frolic with the hunters, she was often found on the training field of the lost clans sanctuary, stabbing and slashing at everything in sight. Her sword flashed in the pumpkin sunlight, a bright flurry of blows that thunked against a wooden foe, sending splinters flying through the air.
This was not out of any need to actually better herself in any way. She knew she was already a well honed and well trained master of swordsmanship. She was well aware of the level of her skills, and she was not in the least bit modest about them. No, this was done simply because she enjoyed it, because it provided her with a certain sense of comfort. The ringing of steel, the sheen of sweat that covered her body and came with the physical exertion, the blood pumping through her veins as her heart picked up it's pace, a pounding in her ears like the drum beats of war.
Eventually, she stopped her attack on the wooden dummy, and she took a few steps back, breathing hard, though she felt far from through.
"You there!" Her gaze turned, and she pointed her sword at whoever was closest at the time, one of Death's soldiers, or perhaps a guardian, it would appear. She flashed him a large, feral grin. "I need a challenge, and you'll do nicely."
It didn't sound as though she was giving him much of an option except to fight her. And if he tried to walk away, she would more then likely follow after him, either to heckle, or to pounce.

Yuri believed that one always should be prepared, and that preparing often found him at the training fields, doing his best to keep up the skills and shape he’d attained during his time at his outpost, not eager to lose them just because he was home. There was no such thing as comfort or laziness, only rest when his body needed it and the rest of the time kept in constant vigilance, improving himself one way or another, always with an eye out for opportunity. When the mare approached him, or rather commanded, he turned from his dummy, his scythe in hand, and offered her a gracious bow of his head. He wasn’t familiar with her, but he’d seen her work and that, combined with the fact of her gender was enough to earn her certain respects he didn’t usually grant otherwise. “I’d be honored,” he answered, as if her demand had been any semblance of a question, and assumed a defensive stance, arms blocking.

Oh good he wasn't going to make her chase him~ Not that she would have minded, really. Sometimes it just made things that much more exciting when her spar partner was an unwilling candidate. As he turned towards her from his own training station, she flicked her eyes up and down over his form, instantly, as always, weighing his worth with nothing more then a gaze. Her sword held at the ready, she spun hilt around her hand a couple of times almost lazily, a vicious grin spreading across her face. "New to this area?" She asked, voice most assuredly too sweet in comparison with the sharp barking command to spar she had issued towards him before. As soon as the question was poised, she was stepping in for a quick slice at one of his arms, keeping herself light on her toes should she need to dodge away quickly. HP: 50 Damage: 4

Yuri wasn’t always willing but he’d been training as it were, and it seemed wholly foolish to refuse a mare’s request, especially one as brazen as the one who stood before him, challenging him. Her question was light, friendly even, and her feet were even lighter, swift as they carried her and her sword forward. He was small and quick but she was quicker, and he had no chance to evade, only to raise his armored wrist against her blade but again he’d misjudged her skill, as the sword kept going, nicking a portion of his upper arm. He drew back several steps, flaring his wings. “Recently home, yes, if you can call this, home.” HP: 36/40 DMG: 0

Shaheen's smirk could only widen with his comment, her feet taking her back a fair enough distance away, calculating the range of his scythe but not wanting to back down too much, not wanting to appear more like one who specialized in gorilla warfare when she was in all actuality far more likely to kamikaze instead. "I would not." She admitted with a shrug of her shoulders and wings, which were only partially extended behind her, still slightly folded at it's joints. "And I have been here for a year and a half or more, have established a place to live, have spent countless days upon days upon days on this very training field." Another dart in, and another slice much like her other, only directed at his other arm this time, and she also did not bother to jump back, more then willing to exchange blow for blow in close quarters. "But no. A home this is not." Her voice came out between clenched teeth, laced with an anger she hadn't shown before, as her golden eyes set in black watched his reaction carefully. HP: 50 Damage: 4
