They had come back to nothing, to a pathetic excuse compared to what had once been their home and he couldn’t help but think on it angrily as he perched on a fallen log, stitching together long pieces of canvas in hopes of a more private space on the reserve. That they should be here at all was laughable, but he did not know the true extent of hardship that his clansmen had suffered, having been stationed away with the rest of his garrison, attending to other worldly matters. The wound of losing his home was still fresh, and it distracted him; he cursed as the needle pricked his finger, having gotten careless in his frustration.

While Yuri had at least attended to something productive, Elric on the other hand was sitting near by looking like someone stuck something sour in his mouth.
"This sucks." He grumbled, not truly caring who could hear him. He was angry, and not really one to hold himself back from emotions. "...I want to make them bleed." He growled this time, pretty certain anyone present would know who he meant by 'them'.
This new area, this new home, was not at ALL what he expected to come back to. Being off with his Garrison on their mission for so long, with no word back from their home land, spoke volumes now. They had no home left.
"....That doesn't mean you are allowed to bleed." The horseman stood up suddenly and approached Yuri, grabbing his hand before the other could say anything and placed the wounded finger in his mouth. How that would help? He didnt really know, but oh well.

Lifting up one of Elric's wings, Qi poked her head up from underneath, offering the two boys a warm smile in greeting. When or how she got there, was a mystery entirely.
Tilting her head at the two, she watched them both a moment, before her gaze landed on the handy work of Yuri. The girls eyes lit up with excitement as she practically bounced up and down on the spot, still holding Elric's wing. "Is this a home you're making us?" If Yuri thought he could separate from their small group, he had another thing coming.

Yuri stared at Elric for a long moment, like he was having a hard time comprehending what had just happened. Then he was pulling his hand away, just in time to give him a somewhat gentle swat on the nose. “Don’t do that,” he chided. “It’s filthy. Here, if you’re going to sit around lamenting the humans, at least make yourself useful.” He busied Elric’s hands with a piece of the canvas, giving the other horseman no choice in the matter. When Qi’s head popped out from beneath his wing, he was neither surprised nor startled, and his eyes slid her way in a curious glance. He knew her well enough to understand the double question she’d just asked. “ Private quarters. I value our fellow clansmen but that does not mean I wish to sleep in a cramped tent with them. And yes, it’s for all of us.” He leaned over, and wiped his finger on the ground, before going back to stitching. Elric had been right, in a sense, the only bloodstains he ever wanted to see sullying his quarters would be those of his slain enemies. Trophies.

There was no words needed really as Yuri handed off part of the canvas, giving him the supplies needed to actually do something of use instead of just running his mouth off. He didn't see a need to argue the point, instead setting his hands to work and sewing the fabric as the other Death horseman had moments before. The ruffling of his feathers did cause his rhythmic stitching to pause, red eyes flicking towards the culprit briefly, before they started up again. He had long grown used to his wings being touched or moved, brushed as someone walked past or even the feathers being plucked by a particular someone. Qi's arrival did earn her the usual upturn of the corner of his mouth, giving her a nod as well. "Hello, Qi. Have you seen Gou anywhere?" He wondered if the other Conquest was trying to avoid helping making their new home, hmm. "We better make sure to make the tent large enough." There had been no doubt in his mind this was for them all, but maybe that too was once he saw the enormity of the canvas Yuri had been working on. Better to have more room than less, easier to move around when this was for all of them. "Though, i am pretty certain the ground is more filthy than my mouth is." He commented in a rather emotionless, passive, tone as the other wiped his wounded hand on the earth, clearly trying to clean it off.

"Hello, Elric~" The girl chirped, tapping one of the larger man's feathers thoughtfully against her cheek. It was a shame she, and everyone else from conquest didn't have such fine wings like these. "Gou? I haven't seen him. Perhaps we should get him a minipet leash to keep track of his whereabouts?"
Qi practically now beaming at Yuri, dropped down to sit beside the silver haired horseman. Leaning on him, she peered over his shoulder to get a better look at his handy work. "Is there anything I can help with?" Of course the question was almost pointless itself, as Qi was next to useless when it came to building things. She could always give them moral support.

Elric would feel a slight tug at the end of his braid, a tug which was quickly followed by a harsh yank before the horseman in question appeared behind the three of them; Elric's hair gripped firmly in his fist.
"I thought I smelled death over here." Now his gaze slowly slid over to the petite girl who was perched happily beside the smallest horseman present. The sight of her, causing him to tighten his grip on Elric's hair. Though only Elric would notice the change. "And Qi. What a pleasant surprise." The usual smile was on his face, but it was obvious to all that that there was no real warmth behind it. At least not when it was directed at the conquest woman.
"What are you guys doing anyways and whats with the grim looks?"

"He'd likely just chew the least apart, save your seeds." Yuri didn't bother to look up from his work until Qi draped herself against him, at which he gave her a patronizing look but made no attempts to deter her from his space. Instead, like he'd done with Elric, he handed her an edge of the canvas, but without a needle and thread, knowing all too well the extent of her handiwork. "Hold this taut, so I can check the seams," he said simply, though his attention was distracted as a certain Conquest horseman, as if summoned by their discussion, arrived with an unfortunate pull of Elric's hair. "Gou, how kind of you to join us."

A slight huff was all Gou would hear in response to the hair pulling, turning into a slightly louder growl as he tugged just a little harder. "Gou." The voice was still growly, hissed through teeth clenched. Lifting up one of his hands he grabbed at the base of his braid closest to his head. Then he also pulled quickly, leaning his head forward to help, trying to cause the other horseman to lose his balance with the sudden movement. "Why not use those hands to help build our new home?" He pointed towards Yuri and Qi with his free hand, the canvas he was working on previously now lay draped over his knees. "You seem really good about pulling things tightly, can you put that to use?"

At the arrival of Gou, Qi merely gave him a pleasant smile before turning her attention back to the work at hand. "Maybe a bark collar would be more suffice."
With Yuri's instructions, Qi began tugging, if only a little too tightly, as the fabric made a distinct slow tearing sound as she pulled at it. "Is this good?"

Gou merely responded to Qi's remark by muttering something incoherently under his breath and though his smile didn't falter, there was a slight twitch at the corner of his lips. "Good job, Qi. I imagine having a few wears and tears in the fabric will make for a good breeze." It was no wonder she was a soldier and not say, an artisan.
His attention still on female horsemen, Gou was easily caught off guard when Elric suddenly yanked on the other end of the braid, causing him to stumble forward. Though regardless of the taller horseman's efforts, Gou didn't release his on the braid and instead, gave it another playful yank.
"Oh?" There was a small snort of amusement as he glanced at the now taut fabric. "Any more tightly and you'll be needing a new 'home.' Isn't that right, Yuri?"

Yuri’s wings were much smaller than Elrics, and at the current moment were tensely flattened against his back as he watched the three of them out of the corner of his eye, while still trying to keep an eye on his work. One could almost chart the progress of his frustration as it grew and grew, until finally he grabbed the fabric from Qi, a little hastily, to which he gave her an apologetic glance and a glare in the direction of Gou. “Ah, no, that’s a little too tight, Qi, you see,” he said, loosening the seams, and pointing it out to her. “If they’re pulled to tight, the fabric will rip, too loose and it will come apart at the threads. You want to just keep it all uniform and even, if you can.” His attention turned to Gou. “If you have time for joking, you have time to help. Go thread those sticks over there together,” he instructed, rather forcefully pushing a pile of rope into Gou’s arms as he pointed at a pile of sturdy looking branches not far from Elric. “Anymore questions?”
