Much as any good warrior loved a fight, there was a time when it wasn't what they desired, what they wanted. That one day when everything you usually would have done seemed like too much. A lazy day. And alas, Asteria had woken up to one. They did happen every so often after all.

So there she sat, staring out across the way as she listened to the day going on. Winds blowing, minipets scurrying, the usual. She should have gone and done something productive, something useful to help get their isles to where they were, restore power. But it seemed far off and pointless at the moment, so it just wasn't going to happen. Not today. Rather, she didn't even want to explain to anyone that she didn't want to. Which meant avoiding her fellow clansmen that, may or may not have disapproved of the large yawn that she was stifling with her hand as she stood to begin a walk.

Where might there be a safe spot... a spot where-

That'd do. She had met that nice conquest mare before, very laid back. She probably wouldn't even ask, if anything she'd merely have to decline some tea or other foul beverage of the like at the most. Acceptable terms in her opinion. So off she went, straight along toward the distant house she knew of. The hardest part of all of this would be avoiding anyone while she went, but then again there weren't THAT many of them.

That she'd found.

So in truth, it was a rather uneventful journey to the place, the war mare's feet finding their way up to the place as she lightly reached out to knock on one of the stands before heading too far up. She wasn't going to just head up to someone's house if they weren't there. "Anyone home?"

Lifen knew lazy days, admittedly.

She did not haven them happen to her often, if ever, but they did show up in a blue moon. Today wasn't entirely one of them. She had been working on embroidery commissioned in a new kimono from her favourite little noble mare, and had been almost nose to fabric, making sure that everything was clean and well set. Even her tea, which she had brewed at the beginning of the embroidering, had cooled down in to a tepid liquid, forgotten by the woman's desire to make things nearly perfect.

So, when her door was knocked on, in that strange little way that the newest acquaintance of hers had taken on, she looked up from the fabric, almost as if broken from a spell. Oh, dear.

Clearing her throat a little, she realized it would be rude to leave her there, but her fingers were wrapped with golden string, meticulously set and strung through her nails, the needle perilously near pale skin. So, she figured she could trust the girl well enough.

"The door is open, Asteria. Please, do not hesitate to come in to the house and . . ." a pause, looking at the forgotten cup, no tea, "have a seat, I can brew something for you when my hands are not occupied." She called out, feeling content with the statement.

She only had to wait a moment or two before a reply came. Though it was not the sight of the delicate looking conquest women, but her voice that greeted her. A bit of an odd thing, but it wasn't something that rubbed the warrior the wrong way. Instead she started on up, moving to open the door even as she heard the bit about brewing something. Tea. Always tea. Though it wasn't a grimace, but an amused smile that shown on her face as she stepped in through the door while speaking. "Water will be fine, Lifen." She caught sight of the somewhat odd display of the mare at work, lifting a brow as she moved to close the door and avoid messing any part of the project up.

"Hard at work I see." She paused to carefully examine a small part of the fabric that had been completed, it was lovely, and showed just how much care the woman was putting into it, but nothing that truly spoke to Asteria. The thing seemed as if it would have been hard to move in, and that alone left an almost ill taste in her mouth. The work was beautiful, but not the least bit practical. "You needn't put it down on my account, though." She added, retracting the previous comment. Lifen was more than a bit tied up in that mess, and honestly... getting in or out might have been a pain. Work examined to a degree and her task of nullifying the comment taken care of, she continued to path around the working space to another side of the table before seating herself.

"So what's it for?"
