Hi girls~ I know I haven't been very active lately... I've been busy and been in
a 'I wanna be left alone' funk. Well, I'm back! I have a bit of a semi-personal
question/poll that I hope you girls can help with.
( I'm sorry if this isn't the right sub-forum! )
So, I've been using my username, Brommiel, for quite awhile. I've been using
it for everything. Twitter, Tumblr, DeviantArt, Ask, ect. Well, I've been spending
more and more time on Tumblr, doing role-play and just doing what normal
art blogs do. I've noticed that my Tumblr buddies and other art bloggers
have some kind of representation of themselves. (It's an art thing)
While I constantly swap out busts of my active OCs.
Well, this is the issue.
My username is the name of an old, inactive, retired OC that was actually
never used. Even though he was never used, he was supposed to be a minor,
reoccurring character. Yes, Brommiel is a man. No, I am not a man. Even so,
I fell in love with his name and began using it.
I want to have a visual representation of myself on my social things,
not just a bust of one of my OCs. I've come up with some concepts of a
visual that I liked and represents me/what I do. But, it looks nothing like
my original Brommiel. It's not even a boy anymore.
The question is:
-Do/Should I create a visual of myself (Brommiel)
that is completely different from the original character I created?
- Should I use a visual of the original Brommiel?
- What would you do, any help, ect!
I know this is very trivial, but characters are like babies to me. Completely
throwing away an old character and turning them inside out it kind of like
losing this fictional baby.
(I've grown overly-attached to the name and the name is a constant reminder
of the original character.)
PS - I know I could always just create this visual as a different character, but
it's because I have the name 'Brommiel' that I don't want to. I want to use
the name of whatever I'm representing.... Aaaand, I don't think I can change
every one of my usernames.
