I remember back in my drama days when our teach brought up the fact that Shakespeare could have been gay. I was surprised that most of the students didn't go crazy over. It actually turned into a good few minute discussion and we mentioned several plays where it could be implied.
Now, I just thought about this what about in Much Ado About Nothing? It's one of my favorites. What about a romance between Benedick and Claudio? Then you have Dogberry and his companion.
At least we have hope that there were slashers way before our time. smile
