I've been searching over the web, and I've been wondering. Are there any warhammer 40k movies or any movies like it?

I'm going to say Spaceship Troopers for obvious reasons, but are there any others that feel like it would be apart of the 40k universe?

There are generally some movies that have the whole 40k-wipe-ish,
but those are morely looks similar, rather then being similar.
Atleasts that´s what I´ve heard, haven´t stumbled into one myself. sweatdrop

But there are 40k movies other then the Ultramarine movie. :3

And I would warmly suggest posting in this thread in the future:

Officially there is Ultramarines the Movie, a rather boring attempt sanctioned by Games Workshop.

Unofficially there is Damnatus, a German fan movie that has sadly been shot down by legal over German copyright laws, but can be found on-line if you know where to look. ninja

In production right now is the Lord Inquisitor, a fan project with Aaron Dembski-Bowden providing the writing, this seems highly promising!

I've given the other part of the question some thought, 40k is a very distinct setting that encompasses a great deal of genres and styles.

Prime examples of what could thematically fit into the 40k universe would be Aliens (Dark Heresy or Only War), Prometheus (Rogue Trader), Blade Runner (Dark Heresy), Star Wars and a fair deal of Westerns (Necromunda).

And remember, your mileage may vary, as we all see 40k in our own way.

There is a classical old style movie they normally play at Games Workshop conventions and tournaments. Unsure of the name, but it is "Inquisitor" or something along those lines. It is a old VHS movie. It is very old, but is a 40k Movie. You just have to know where to view it.

There were two. Inquisitor and Dark Angels. I could be wildly wrong on the titles, but I know that there are two distinct films.

Wasn't there also a terrible TV series with the bad costumes?

No, just two VHS movies that were sold in limited numbers at Games Day events back in the day.
