Honestly it peeves me when people say "oh guy's have their needs" and even with women "you have your needs":. It annoys the hell out of me because you can't die from lack or no sex. It's not a need, it's a want. The last time I checked needs were things that were essential to living a good and healthy life.
As dictionary.com puts it:
need [need] Show IPA noun 1. a requirement, necessary duty, or obligation: There is no need for you to go there. 2. a lack of something wanted or deemed necessary: to fulfill the needs of the assignment. 3. urgent want, as of something requisite: He has no need of your charity. 4. necessity arising from the circumstances of a situation or case: There is no need to worry. 5. a situation or time of difficulty; exigency: to help a friend in need; to be a friend in need.
Sex is not a obligation, it's not a requirement, it's not necessary to fulfill a need. I mean unless you WANT a baby, sex is just another one those things you WANT not NEED.
UGH! Just had to get that out there even though I posted this in a guild but I am about to go to sleep so at least when I wake up I won't be bombarded with quote notices.

Well, I am a virgin and I agree, sex isn't a need. It is a want. But some people are able to classify sex as exercise, since it does burn calories and works with your cardiovascular fitness.
But saying that sex is a need may be over-exagerating. I was talking to my friend on the phone a while ago, and he is not a virgin he said "God, I haven't had sex for like 2 months" and he found this hard so I asked why, he said "You're still a virgin, you wouldn't understand" I thought, right then.. Maybe that because they do it, and feel the pleasure and such, they find they want to do it more, so it becomes a need.
Also, they could need the human contact.. Like my friend, he is very touchy feely, and likes having the human touch more than the sex.
But I do agree, I dont classify it as a need..

But I do agree, I dont classify it as a need.. Yeah I heard it can be exercise, but to me that seems like something couple who already had sex would do. Like if one of them wanted to lose weight and then the other suggest sex in a flirty kind of way.
I don't know I mean there is still masturbation. It may not be as good as sex but it's something. I think if they think about it too much and don't try to get their mind off of it or you know masturbate and insist they need a partner then they are over reacting.
Well if he is touchy feely then there are hand jobs and such. needing human contact doesn't mean actual intercourse has to take place.

I'm like his therapist, he always talks to me about it, and all that, and he says that its usually the person he sleeps with who wants it, and he is a people-pleaser. But, he has gone as long as he has, because he wants to be with me, and he doesn't want to be with anyone but me..

I have a friend whose last boyfriend said that he slept with all the girlfriends he had because they wanted it. Like he was doing them a favor. Anyone to me who says they sleep with people because the other person wants it, yeah something right there doesn't add up. But that's just me.
