[Questioned Sanity]

With this rose of the night
I proclaim your love upon my crown
With this sash to blind my eyes
I can see only thoughts of you
With this rose of pure white
I grieve purity upon my black lips
With this dress of red
I display my burning passion
With the rose of crimson
I offer you my heart

Warm Light

My light pleases many
As it is glorious beauty
It is praised and loved
Yet hated and feared

Many only see my light
Noticing only the shine
It is not even my light
But that of the sun

They never see my
Other half of shadow
Never noticing when
The darkness takes over

Yet the sun knows
And the stars know
That I am two halves
Of the entire whole

They see what Earth
Will never know
And embrace my darkness
With a loving light

Fear

These objects around me
Suddenly they have no value
Mere creations of industry
Existing inside my focus

Material products
And feelings alike
Give way to fear
Of losing my world

I put on my mask
Fake smiles abundant
Falsified emotions
Only real for my world

Under I am terrified
Petrified of losing
Half of my entire world
That I love so dearly

Sick to my stomach
Filled with horror
All else seems empty
Faced with this fear

Faith giving way
To this terrible feeling
I will always choose the other half
Or so I once thought

My heart weeps
My soul cries out
Terrible fear rips
Away at my being

My world, you must stay
Or come back to me
And fulfill your promises
So that I can release this fear

Pacified and lullabied
By the sound of your voice
And every note strummed.
The distance almost melts
Away with my sorrows.
Playing your voice over again
To soothe my weeping soul.
My world, being so far away,
You have given me this melody
So that I may tame insecurites.
Yet I despair, for my world
You are both so far from my grasp.

To remember its sweet sound.
Your darkness shines from within
Calling to me so tenderly;
It beckons me to persevere.
I will press on for my world

Questioned Sanity

My those are very sweet and very pretty I especially like the first one, Warm Light's second stanza seems a bit choppy however I very much like that one too <3
Here are a few of mine, I wrote them about my puppies <3
The Suckling Few
She lay there contently with her suckling few,
Tender licks she gives to one, three and two.
Ears closed shut and eyes shut tight
Her intentions are good but the pup puts up a fight

Three little tails wag in delight
suckling puppies are an adorable sight
Mama nudges, mama licks, mama rolls
Pupplies whine, puppies kick
Puppies wanna drink until their tummies are full

Little pink noses with matching pink lips
You can hear these tiny babies yip yip yip
They squeak, they squirtm, they sleep
Mama can't seem to get sleep without a peep.


The Troublesome Trio
You think these three are cute as can be.
What you don't know is how troublesome they can be.
The spunky few gave mama some grief
How so you ask? Let's start in the past!

It all started with a glorious stud
However his deeds are no better than mud
He made Sandra, o' girl, swoon over him
Naive as she was she went out on a limb
She fell hard for this stud, handsome as he
She could not see how deceitful he can be
They went on a date, it went splendidly well
Sandy opened up and came out of her shell
However the date was a bust and he was a fake
Now Sandy had a bad, bad heart break
Cast-out and ashamed she ran, ran, and ran
She ran so far she found herself in a whole 'nother land.
A kind, compassionate twoleg took her in
she even had a dog that became Sandy's kin
Belly grows sider and pups inside start to shout
Sandy knew now she would be a mother no doubt
the day has arrived and pain clenches her flank
"These puppies alright are a pain in my bank!"
Sandy whines as contractions grip her tight
"It won't be long now, I'm having pups tonight!"
This troublesome trio gave Mama some grief
The labor unfortunately was not very brief
One, two and three lil'uns squirm about
Mama tries her best not to shout
They climb everywhere and hide under things
They act as if they rule like kings!
Now you know the trouble they caused.
Alas this is not the end, I've simply taken a pause.
