TheAristocratSays:
I'm so sad right now.
My youngest Chicken, Amber, died yesterday because of a long struggle with Internal Laying, so I was completely distraught by that.
Today, when I awoke I saw my other Chicken, Henrietta with what looked like her insides were hanging out. I thought she were egg bound since I could see the egg but nothing I did was shifting it so I went to the vets. The moment she saw her said said it doesn't look like good news and said she had Prolapsed Uterus. The egg broke and she was able to remove it but her uterus was still hanging out and couldn't be put back inside her. She also had blackness on her uterus which the vet said was dead tissue.
We had to put her down and I was just in complete shock since I didn't think any of this would happen today and now I'm completely in tears and having a drink.
I feel terrible, like maybe I should of said no.
I don't like the fact that she was in pain and that I was in charge of her fate.
My poor little chickies.
'Kay, i'm done...
