This is the first of five novels by Douglas Adams. The novel is very well written and contains a lot of satire. And I have to say, there is barely a dull moment with the turn of each page. The book maybe short (unless you buy the ultimate edition, which holds the entire series), but it's definitely worth it. Personally, I love how Adams describes his characters and their thoughts. It's priceless! Each character has a life of his/her own, and they are quite memorable.

There was a movie based on the first book, but you should read it before you watch it. Sure, the movie's funny, but the book is the original, and even funnier. I'll do my review on the next four books after this one, but here's my score for the current one:
