Name: Sothen Esmoti
Blood color: Gender: Male
Symbol: One arrow pointing in different directions
Personality: Sothen is, for a good bit of his days, neurotic. He spends most of his days sheltered away in his residence or out and about clutching at various parts of his clothing as if he could hang onto himself in the case that the world lost all gravity. He's well aware of his anxiety issues, however, and is working to remedy it. Sothen is big into books, and as a result of his trying to fix himself he is huge into self-help books. And figuring he needed to learn to not be anxious, ie relax, he always carries around a furry sleeping mask and a bottle off strong smelling bullsh*t in a bottle. Whether it's a placebo effect, it does work for him. But on his good days, when no funny items are needed, he likes to pretend to be a sociable troll. Sothen can actually be awkwardly okay. Maybe a little manic around the eyes and his voice may be a touch shrill, but he's fairly friendly. He'll stay on the fringes and nod meaningfully, because that's what he's good at.
Aside from that Sothen is a huge collector of stuff. He gets some thrill from putting the things he collects into boxes.
Strengths: Smart- In terms of books. Well, books on history. Well... kind of not even that. But he loves to read and research so if you want marginal success in finding something out, you may want to go to someone else. But when all else fails, and you don't mind slow half accurate results, he is your troll. Though, if you want some amateur psychology, he will be all over this.
Dexterous- He's got a rather fancy set of fingers. Not in terms of looks, though he doesn't hate them and they aren't gnarled. But he's fast with his hands. If he was less neurotic he'd be a card magician for all the little wrigglers. This also means he can do tasks like.... fixing your glasses and those frikking little screws. As far as usefulness goes he kind of needs to figure that out, but he's sure it's something to do with blade or a baton...
Leveling his head - He's not a calm troll. Maybe he was at some blissful point in his childhood, but not so much now. So he does need... things to calm himself on occasion. But when he uses those things he is all chill. He's a soothing person to be around and he will chill with you and your peeps. Maybe he'll even smile nervously. He really secretly likes to try and get along.
Reliable follower- He is good at following most orders. It's less work to think, and much easier to just go along with whatever someone else suggests. A good deal less stress too, and he needs that. He feels much better when situations are being handled by others. And he doesn't have the creativity to double-cross, so he is pretty trustworthy as well. Following applies to instructions, too. Give him time and a manual and the troll can build.
Flaws: Hoarder- This isn't hoarding. It's collecting. He collects things, and they become very important. One trolls trash is his treasure. One trolls treasure is also his treasure. Basically everything is his and he packs it into boxes and is making an organized box mansion inside his dwelling. Maybe this is symptomatic of a minor fear of the outside world.
Compulsive thief- How else will he build his fort? Trolls don't need things, he does. And they wouldn't miss them anyway. Or he hopes they're not, but there it is in his hand and it would be weird to give it back now. And he can't get everything from the garbage, okay, that'd be mostly gross.
Laridaphobia (The fear of seagulls) - Seagulls give him heart spasms and it's very serious. And honestly how could they not? Landing on trolls. Eating. And their creepy staring eyeballs. They're up to something, and the very sight of them makes him flip his sh*t or duck and cover. It doesn't matter that he lives in the city and rarely sees them. The fact that they even exist is enough. But he'll have the last laugh when he's prepared for the seagull up-rise and everyone else is begging for help.
Worrier- It goes without saying, given his lardaphobia that he worries about things. And all of them make sense, sssh.... He thinks he's suffering from some kind of PTSD or something, if only to excuse his general nervous mannerisms. When he is not actively practicing the art of calming the f*ck down using... things, you can bet he's on his way to flipping.
Weapon: five-point throwing starkind
Appearance: Outfits always sort of boring, but he tries to be all snazzy. He tends to overdo it with his symbol though. Maybe in some kind of lack of any fashion sense he thinks spamming them anywhere they make some kind of sense(or not at times) is cool.
Home: New Hemisect City
Lusus: Seagulldad often spied silently, but in plain sight and typically two feet away, on his charge to make sure he was existing in a proper manner. He would land on him when he least expected it, and caw loudly in place of anything meaningful to say. He would also often take his food so that his little wriggler didn't ingest his food incorrectly and choke. He is very attentive of his charge.
So he is unsure why he frequently gets panicked looks or why landing on him suddenly or cawing him to sleep makes his charge flip his sh*t and turn over boxes. He wonders where he went wrong.
But he doesn't mind the clutter. So many things to pick at.
Power: None
