How to get out of the dreaded friend zone?

So, I am crazy attracted to my best friend. She is my dream girl. Smart, funny, sarcastic, beautiful, passionate, positive. She is my support. We've known each other for...7 years now, I think. I recently asked her out and she told me that she is physically and sexually attracted to me and would hook up with me, but didn't see me as long-term dating material. So...I'm in the friend zone with her.

Any advice on how to get out?

I think you should talk with her about it.

My girlfriend was my friend 'till I said that let's stop and start dating. We both knew we liked either other.
So I think all you can do is to ask her is it even possible to try? you can't know 'till you try, right? (:
