We hear it often enough on TV, it's not hard to mock xd

The thing that annoys me about yanks mocking British accents is that they either mock the OTT posh accent that nobility speaks or the London cockney accents that I rarely ever hear (and I live in London) apart from old films with Michael Caine in them.

Britain has such diverse accents, there's Newsreader, Essex, Cornish, Yorkshire, Welsh, Scottish, Irish and many many more.
