Why can't we use images in polls?

Or clickable links?

Or anything else fancy?

Would it crash and burn the forum servers? o.o;

/dissuasion that has nothing to do with 3 images. Many polls are just silly spam questions, can you image what people would do with the ability to have images for LOLZ.

Maybe limit it to a certain size? XD

I dunno. They've already tried to shove ads in that space. I can't see it being very spammy for long though. People get bored of things rather quickly.

It'd probably be too hard to implement. I'm pretty sure the polls have never really been updated, so I'm not sure you could even update the coding to allow pictures and that sort of thing without having the rewrite the entire code. Plus, pictures any bigger than LJ icon size would take up way too much space. It would be kind of nice to have links though, but I guess those can always go in the post itself.

Well, you could put the link in the poll but no one can click on it. It would be a copy/paste thing.

Maybe they fear people would abuse it , by have dirty images and virus links .

What else with polls they can do I have no idea .
