Thought I'd write a poem.

[Femme Mantis]

The muse

A muse was born in a darkened heart, her eyes covered in black and deep inside the muses' mind a hatred burned so bright.
This muse wasn't a happy one, her insanity held down.
In a lake filled with ink she was content to drown.
As she sank into the sea of ink her sins came to life.
The muse felt tears of sea salt for once drip from her eyes.
Oh such a sad existence.
What a pity.
She couldn't die, she had to flee.
The muse became a creature who hid her smiles deep, her eyes became blind and she lead a path of fear.
When the army came to take her away she went without a fight, she slashed open the devils' throat and disappeared into the night.
Now tainted with a deadly sin she vowed to lock away all the things she did on that terrible day.
The muse became a guardian, her mistress her new life.
She guarded her secrets safe, never allowing them the light.
They say she is a demon, a monster who wants blood.
Some call her unfortunate, others claim it was her sin.
Regardless of what the muse felt she tied herself down.
Under a sea of ink, she refuses to drown.
Oh what a pity.
What did the muse do so wrong?
She unlocked the door to destiny.
