For as long as he could remember, Jake Lambheart has been living in the mansion as a personal indentured servant to the master. Having been sold by his parents at a very young age, he never knew what it felt like to truly be in a family, to feel love. Sure, his parents and his older siblings would all visit him every once in a while, but he could never go with them to their home, even when he so desperately wanted to.

There were a few things that made his life bearable. His master treated Jake like his own son, giving him an education, letting him sit at the table with the rest of the family, bringing him to parties that always ended up being enjoyable. The other servants got jealous, of course, but they could never do anything with the master always keeping a close eye on Jake.

One day, the master died of a heart attack, and his son was left with everything, including Jake. Unlike the late master, the son was rather cruel to Jake, constantly barking orders at him or even locking him away for reasons unknown to the servant. The master's son would even let the other servants of the house beat Jake, and then laugh as if it was all entertainment.

Jake has had just about enough. He wasn't going to stand for this any longer. One day, he was going to run away... or die trying.

I'd say: Yeah, I've been living in that mansion perhaps since I was five. I kind of feel resentment against my parents for selling me, but I'm sure they had some reason. After all, I can still remember how hard my mother cried and how much pain my father was in when they sold me. They visited me every week, so I at least could spend time with them whenever possible.
My master was a good person, though, and he must have been a friend of my parents. He was like a second father to me, and I was happy. When he died, it was like a piece of my heart was ripped out of me.
When his son took over, I thought my content life would continue, but he was nothing like his father. Never, in my life, had I wanted to run away so badly. I will, I swear I will. I just need a chance.

I don't really know my personality, I suppose. I only remember being called diligent and good-hearted by my master, and lazy and stupid by his son. They contradict each other, I know.
