I'm trying not too - it's only making me need to see a therapist even more than I already do. But it's like one of those things...you know you should stop, that it's gross...but your mind is tormenting you. gonk

Back to topic on the whole 'sex education' thing, I have to ask, what is it with the 'porn cartoons'? I mean . . . wtf? What happens in them? How do they explain anything?

No idea. We certainly never saw one. It was a Catholic school though, so we got the biology teacher, an OHP sheet showing cross-sections of the respective genitals and a half-hour Q&A session, which was awkward..

You got more than me. We had a tampax lady (the unofficial school nickname for her) in who couldn't talk about anything for fear of 'offending' out delicate catholic sensibilities. Ditto biology classes, where my teacher wasn't actually allowed to teach us about contraception. We had to pretend that we'd asked him, just so he could get on and teach.
My school sucks at anything like that.

I am so glad I went to a completely unreligious school (they even taught Religious Studies and Philosophy, the hethens XD )

The worst of it is that after all the awful sex ed a girl in my year group got pregnant and dropped out of school...And one of the lads got a different girl pregnant and also dropped out...

Only one? We had a couple who got pregnant and had an abortion, a girl who got pregnant in year 10 and was 3months pregnant as we finished our exams in June and anothe girl who was heavily pregnant during our exams. I lost count of how many were pregnant in my year.

I think theres three girls in my year who got prenant. They've all kept them.
One of them had twins. Poor girl, she was pretty nice. She'll probably be a decent mum despite her taste in men. She got engaged to him at 16.He was about 10 years older and a drug dealer. A few months later she tried to get unengaged because she thaught she was too young. He wasn't pleased and beat her about a bit and I'm not quite sure what happened but it involved a machete getting thrown around. She must have got bac together with him for a bit becuse a year later it turns out she's had twins but is living with her mum again.

Lately I've been hearing about people from my year getting pregnant, having kids, etc. There was a case of twins as well. There wasn't a ridiculous amount, which was somewhat heartening, but my group of friends and I were still pretty shocked.

'So-and-so's had a baby!? NO WAY!'

I don't think anyone's been pregnant in my school, let alone in my year.

My sister just hit 18 before she gave birth (four days), so was technically an adult rather than a teenage mother. She would've dropped out of school, except she stopped going three years before. rolleyes

This is amazing. Bloody hilarious, I love it.

Totally unrealistic, mind you. I've never seen it that sunny in Scotland!

Pretty good. Though they moved wayyy too slowly. I started getting bored after reading th e same line three times.
My favorite part was when the one guy's older brother said he was a 'lying shite-bag'

I remember having sex education taught to us, when I was in year 8 or 9 in school, my mother lead me to believe that it'd be gender different, in that girls would be taken to learn about menstruation etc and lads would be dragged off to learn guy things... but it wasn't, it was all done in one big block, definately the most awkward lesson.
