I recently got my brother into the space Wolves Chapter of Space Marines and seeing how none of my guard are painted me and him got a talking and we agreed to become partners for a doubles tournament coming up and I wanted to know how should I paint my guard to represent their allegiance to the Space Wolves.

The idea came from when Logan saved many Imperial Guardsmen after the First War for Armageddon and these men and women are the descendants that feel it is their duty to serve under the chapters command until they feel that their debt is paid.

So any ideas on how to paint these "Wolf Pups" as we meaning he decided to name them would be helpful.

i suggest that you paint them space wolves colors but they should contain some of the armies original colors

Keep the original color scheme on your guard, but they should be carrying new banners along with the originals, bearing Space Wolf iconography. Painting shoulder pads to match the Wolves color scheme would do well, especially to represent a regiment that hasn't had the time or opportunity to requisition new equipment.

yeah, and maybe use marauder/space wolf bitz,
sort of showing how the wolf´s culture and tradions has
grown and integrated in to the army or to just show their respect and admire
to the chapter.
Not too much thought, a wolf´s head dagger here,
a fur-decoration cloak there, subtlely in adding bitzes to models. wink

Biggest question thou is which guard-models are we talking about? :-/
Since it´s Armageddon I´m quessing Cadian, but then again there were other
guard forces in there aswell. ^^"

The guard units are a mix of Cadian, Catachan, and Steel Legions

Or... Have the command banner with some kind of battle scene, and a wolf looming over it.

What a co-incidence. Also, the next "What's new today" is his accompanying Space Wolves.
