who to cosplay as...?

so, i'm going to an anime convention next month. i need a costume.
i was originally going to go as chii from chobits, then i realized something...
i look really crappy with blond hair. :C does anyone have any suggestions?
x this is the best picture i could find that was recent. >.<
i have brown hair, brown eyes, and my skin is darker than in the picture.
i guess i could get a wig and stuff, so yeah. hair length isn't an issue.
i kinda wanted to cosplay as a character who is cute and stuff c:

fem!America or Seychelles from Axis Powers: Hetalia.

I think you'd also look good as Mamimi from FLCL, also Anthy Himemiya from Revolutionary Girl Utena. You could probably be Haruko from FLCL if you wanted.

There's that one short-haired girl from K-On (I think her name is Yui idk I don't actually watch it).

You could be Minatsuki from Deadman Wonderland.

Celty Sturluson from DRRR, if you don't mind wearing a zentai.

Haruhi from OHSHC.

Yoko from TTGL.

I saw Yuffie from Final Fantasy when I saw you. So cute! =D

Or Margie from Xenogears (props if you know who I'm talking about!!)

But if you're not into Final Fantasy, maybe look into the anime Slayers. Princess Amelia would suit you well too.

The most important thing though, is have fun. Choose a character that YOU like, not just because you look like them. I used to cosplay misa Amane, because I looked like her. But I hated the costume and the attention it got me (one word, CREEPERS). Now I stick to ginjika.
