Opinion of Yaoi in the UK

I'm an English girl that has been a fan of Anime and general Japanese things since I was about 11. I have a small group of friends who like it too. I am a mild Yaoi fan but not to extremes that some of my other friends go to. I'll have 'aww' moments in any of my anime shows when a romantic moment pops up between a couple of any sexuality, so I'm not someone that obsesses about much...well perhaps tea, which may be horribly stereotypical to some people...But it probably stems from Alice in Wonderland in some odd way. sweatdrop

I am from Hawaii, that little island that's the farthest place on earth from any other land mass. I have yet to meet a manga fan raised in Hawaii that does bot know what Yaoi is. However we have a large Japanese population and a large homosexual population.

think it depends on 3 things.

1) Are they internet lovers? 2)Are they anime lovers, 3) Are they progay

I mean love the internet, like quite a few animes, and as a gay male Im obviously progay, and I know of it. I know a few girls where I live who crave it, but their idea of gay men seems to be we kiss, they praise us, and expect us to want a pat on the head. (Maybe that's why they like yaoi)
