Izumi couldn't help but smile as she watched Adam in front of the class. She was truly a teacher at heart. She enjoyed watching her students succeed and in a sense, Adam was her student. He had enough heart to be a good teacher, he just needed some self dicsipline. Well, she thought I suppose he'll learn eventually. I can't always be there to crack the whip. The principal gave her a nod before he left just before the end of the class period. She returned it with a smile. She knew she would be receiving an email later that day from him to discuss what he observed and she would have to write up her own evaluation. She thought it to be wise not to let Adam know that she was also evaluating him. It let him relax a little more. "Good job, Adam," she smiled when the bell rang, signaling a change in classes. "I think that went really well."

((sweet, now we can finally start flow with things)) Adam turned back to Izzy, relieved that the principal is gone but still anxious about his performance. He was thrilled to hear Izzy saying it went well and a sense of pride overflowed in him "You think so? I thought he would see right through me, it's not like me to be so serious. Maybe I should have been an actor instead?"
While the students were slowly draining out of the room, Adam took this chance to sit back and relax "What a way to start the day. Can you imagine he actually believed my jogging excuse? For someone with such a mean face, you'd think he's sharper than that."

Izzy sighed and shook her head. "He tries to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Administration has o be respected. They are the big shots of the school so to speak. Like the "popular" crowd. Besides, they have a lot on their plate so they can't pick out every little lie. I would advise not making a habit of it though. He'll only go so long based on my word." She flipped through the stack of papers that the students had turned in, mentally calculating how long it would take. It take her too long, then again, she had been planning on going out. "Being a teacher may not always be glamorous, and sometimes it'll interfere with personal life, but in the end it's always worth it....at least in my opinion," she said with a smile looking back at Adam.

Adam grinnd back at her "It's true we're not exactly the students favorite people, but then again can you honestly tell me you loved your all of your teachers? Every now and then there is someone among us that knows how to approach the students on their own level but those are abnormals, like you." He looked at the stack of papers in the basket and a smile came to his face with his left eyebrow raised "Do you honestly intend to grade all of these when you didn't even finish the ones from before?" He still insisted on splitting the work between them, it was too cruel to let Izzy stay up night after night "If you keep yourself up too long and dont get your beauty sleep, you'll start hallucinating things and see your dreams while awake... I wonder if you ever dream about me?"

Izumi sighed and rolled her eyes. "You know, I was a college student once. I know what it's like to get very little sleep. I know my limits. I haven't hallucinated yet, so I think I'll be fine. And I dream of good futures for all my students...well I guess that's more of a wish than a dream," she said, laughing a little at the last part. Students slowly started to trickle in for the next period. She really did love her job. She knew it had its downside, but she wouldn't trade it for the world.

As the next batch of students came into class, Adam turned around and faced them to make sure everybody notice he's there. This trick usually got everyone to enter the room quietly, just the way he liked it. Once ti seemed everyone came, Adam started taking attendance. "Good, looks like just about everyone are here today."
He bent over to Izzy and whispered to her "Since I took last period, why don't you take this one? Show the pupil how the master does it right" In reality he just liked the way Izzy does things in class. It was obvious she loves this place and her job and it gave a sort of radiance to her whenever she was teaching.

Izumi laughed a little. "If you insist," she smiled standing up. She walked to the front of the room, an old and battered copy of Romeo and Juliet. She really loved studying Shakespeare. In fact, it had been one of her favorite classes when she was in college. "Alright then class, when last we left our Romeo, he stumbled upon Juliet in her garden. Here we will find one of the most famous and well known scenes of the play as well as a very common saying. Let's see if you can pick it out. Now, who would like to read today?" One boy raised his hand and offered to read the part of Romeo. Izumi smiled and wrote in on the board. Another girl offered to play the nurse who only had a small part. "Doesn't anyone want to read Juliet?" she asked a little surprised. "Juliet has one of the most important parts in this whole scene." "Can you read it, Ms. Kanari?" asked a girl in the front row. "Yeah, you read the best," chimed a boy in back. Izumi sighed. "How about this," she began. "I'll read Juliet today since it is such a big role, but tomorrow, someone else has to read her and I won't read anything other than chorus and stage directions. Is that fair?" There was a soft murmer as the class agreed. "Very well. Let's begin." The boy who offered to play the part of Romeo began. He didn't read badly, but he was fairly quiet and more monotone than she would have liked. "Remember, "Romeo"," she interrupted, "this is when you are seeing the love of your life, the woman who made you forget your heart break and all else just to look upon. She is your angel. Juliet is Romeo's sun. I think you can read better than that." And he did. Finally, it came time for Juliet's longer part. "O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet." Izumi read, her passion seeping through making many believe she really was a Juliet. "Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?" the student stuttered. "'Tis but thy name that is my enemy; Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot, Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part Belonging to a man. O, be some other name! What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name, And for that name which is no part of thee Take all myself." Izumi continued. She glanced up around the room. She had learned that if she didn't do that from time to time, she would get lost in the play like she had so many times before. Freshmen were so lively and much different from her class of Seniors. They were more awake and paid more attention to the reading. She couldn't help but smile as she awaited her "Romeo's" response.
((again, I am very sorry. I was taken on an unexpected vacation and my mother hasn't let me near my computer. I will do better, I really promise >.<))

((well, this really puts me on the spot, they didnt teach us romeo&juliet at literature class. most of the stuff we learned were creations of people from out own little israel but i can manage this somehow)) Adam couldn't help but notice that the student who volunteered to play Romeo was still murmuring more than reading so Adam had to take this opportunity to show the freshman how to properly do things in class. He knew better than have any lines be muttered and stuttered in Izumi's class when role playing, every paragraph matters, even if made up of a single line.
Adam picked up a copy from Izumi's desk and quickly flipped forward to where Izumi had just read from. He walked to the front of the class and stood next to her, reading out passionately as if it they were his own words: "I take thee at thy word: Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized; Henceforth I never will be Romeo."

Izumi feigned Juliet's surprise, though she herself was more than a little surprised that Adam took the initiative to read the part. Still, she tried not to smile. "What man art thou that thus bescreen'd in night So stumblest on my counsel?" she replied.
((I'm sorry. I didn't have internet in my apartment for a while then I just found out that my best friend found a lump and is seeing the doctor on Monday.))
