Pink Fregia Trappernicus58 When I was 34 I was told that I as the wrong side of 30 and would never get a job. Now I’m 61 I don’t want to think how far I’m from 30 and ever getting a job 🐀 Still no job. Sad day. My daughter says "Don't worry about it mom, you're not that far from retirement" I know she was trying to be uplifting...but ....ugh
At least your daughter still talks to you. I haven't heard or seen my Son, Daughter or Granddaughter for over ten years. Way too much water has passed over a bridge that was burned years ago. Have you thought of a Home Based or Online Based Business? 🦊

Have you thought of a Home Based or Online Based Business? 🦊 Hail Guilders! I am a professional artist who exhibited at non-commercial galleries in my youth, but as a retired person whose last job was at Canada's favorite coffee shop, Tim Hortons, let me tell you that the advice from the Employment Councillors I met with was not worth a hill of beans.
I went to seminars that proved that I had artistic talent, and excelled at creative thinking, but in the end I landed behind the coffee counter at Timmies. yum_tea yum_donut
Now that I have plenty of free time on my hands, I can create digital art on my laptop, play with the CSS coding of my Gaia Profile to personalize the theme with great pleasure, and have fun in the forums. gaia_left
During the Covid Lockdown in my small Canadian town in the province of Ontario, I was not able to physically see my son on his birthday -- but made + sent him some hand-made birthday cards, and sent him a funny email. And I chatted with him on the phone. emotion_bigheart
Because I was updating my Gaia Profile, I caught sight of my membership to this Guild on my Guilds' List. I'm glad to have submitted a few comments, and spent some time here. Everyone seems so friendly. Kudos ~BatChic

It will be so nice to visit with my son and daughter-in-law, again, after a year of covid social distancing. Both my significant other and I have had our two shots, so it's nice to be in the clear

The following is so random that I thought that this might be the best thread to post in.
Did you know that Gaia began as an anime/manga interest site, with links to forum topics of interest?
Well, after my stroke in 2014, I decided to create a central place to find my forum + guild links of interest, and this evolved to how my profile appears today. Sure, I have art of the Zurg and my OC (original character) as well (to truly show my Gaia spirit and interest) but the ease of locating the forums and guilds is paramount to me.
With the recent re-vamping of my profile theme to one designed by Confelicity + from GaiaTools ➔ (a great theme library for you to browse and download for free, by the way) I discovered that the listing of all of my favorite guilds as well as notable threads made my profile word-heavy.
To condense the print in the "About Me" section, I added a small cell to the right that housed a listing of my guild memberships by Gaia. Yes, indeed, this helped greatly -- but I still needed to sift through guild titles to find my fave(s). So, of course, the answer to this dilemma, was to add back some Guild links so I could reach my intended destination quickly and efficiently.
Now back to our scheduled post content: I linked a great banner for our guild by Eirwyn~
instead of this unusual but funny vertical one created by me~
Truthfully, I am not fond of the term "geezer" so I thought calling our guild the G Guild a little more tasteful. xD
In case you were wondering -- Where did the word geezer come from? It comes from the word guiser, which refers to a person who performs in a costume (a guise), such as in a street parade. Geezer originated as a term for a man, much like the words chap and fellow, or their modern equivalents, dude and guy. Like these last two words, it can be used in a dismissive way.

Life? You start out dribbling, toothless, incontinent, and feebly babbling. You mature into a useful part of society fighting to be heard and recognised. You end up dribbling, toothless, incontinent, and feebly babbling. That is the true circle of life. 🦊

The one big difference between men & women, is that if a woman says "Smell this" it usually smells nice.

Earl & Bubba are quietly sitting in a boat fishing, chewing tobacco & drinking beer, when suddenly Bubba says "Think I'm gonna divorce my wife - she ain't spoke to me in over two months."
Earl spits overboard, takes a long slow sip of beer & sayd "Better think it over, women like that are hard to find."

I have to share a family funny. This evening we were all sitting and talking after dinner, my SIL found this site where you put in the year you turned 21 and the top song of that year is your theme song for 2022. So we each did it and were having fun talking about things we did in our youth. My grandson (16 yrs) says "Wow that's like all the way back in the late 1900's, right?" rofl My daughter while shocked and laughing threw her napkin at him.
Thanks a lot kid
