As I will finally be done with finals!!!
It's a place called "Brused Books."
<3

I'm going to try and find some authors I maybe haven't read yet, any suggestions? The more the better as I never know what I'm going to find at that store, and of course I doubt I'm leaving wiht only one book.

Anything scifi or fantasy; I'm fairly open-minded, and I do indeed want to try some authors I haven't read, or haven't read much of...

Suggestions please? I haven't bought a book for pleasure-reading in such a long time. I think I've forgotten how that even works.

You've probably already read the Hobbit and LOTR but how about the Silmarillion? (warning, you need to be a real fan to survive that one!)

Great suggestions above! I would add for Jonathan Stroud to stick to the Bartimaeus books for a start. If you like humorous fantasy and alternate history they are great!

The Legend of Drizzt has been recommended to me and it's on my list of books to read, so I'll pass that one on, too.

If you liked Jonathan Strange you may also like the collection of short stories by the same author called The Ladies of Grace Adieu. It's like all the long footnotes that never made it into JSAMN.

Sleepless by Charlie Huston - I'm not sure how to characterize this one but I liked it. Hard-boiled dystopia sci-fi, maybe?
