I tried a new way of drawing on MS Paint. Comments? :D

I've never done anything like this before on paper, nor MS Paint. And I'm trying to venture out into new styles and stuff... ^^ Anyway, comments on how I did? Think I improved at all? Here's a past drawing I did a long time ago:

Just wondering, do you know how to resize the picture? They seem to have big backgrounds for no reason and if you are just drawing one small person then there isn't much of a point. You can resize it by dragging the point on the edge of the picture.

Try to add shading. Also try to draw hands, even if you're not good at it you'll improve. You can look at yourself standing in the same pose for reference. Try to draw different poses, they can bring out character a lot and simply standing is a bit dull (though the character could be shy/nervous?)
I guess you might have been told this a lot, but study anatomy.

i think i have to agree with Enigma, there is a lot background. but overall the drawing is pretty cute for MS paint. =) keep up the good work.

Yeah I know I have lots of work to do. sweatdrop And it's probably really big cause I have a huge monitor now O.o But I'll re-size pictures in future drawings<3
