Step by Step: The Quvi Way

Hello smile I was motivated by my friend to try my hand at realism. This is my first try at realism on photoshop, and I thought I would share my process with you. Tell me what you think!



Getting the BASIC layout set up



More laying out



Throwing some base colors on



Putting on some basic shading



Cleaning up what I've thrown on so far



Cleaning up some more, and arranging parts around



Moar arranging



Started to define the features of the face a bit more...

Threw on more light and shade between the steps



Fine-tuning



Done. Kinda...

Oh, all done on one layer, by the way. I wanted to restrict myself to make it feel as traditional as possible.

Yeah! Just trying it once actually helped me understand a bit more about some stuff. Go for it!

anyway, I am in no position to judge anyone here on anything but this is great for one layer. It affirms that I'm not going insane either which always nice.

I think I've definitely gotten better since the first post. I'm working on this right now, have only gotten down base colors so far. I'll post a step by step soon:
