Blood on the Water
Leaking from my chest
Is the essence of my beating heart
Red stains my hands,
And red stains my eyes with rage
I am becoming cold all over
As I stand here up to my knees in water
My hands are out reaching
Reaching for nothing in the air
My nails are becoming stained in red
As my blood travels in rivers down my arms
My chest is cracked wide open
But I’m not in pain, nor in pleasure
I can see my heart beating through shredded flesh
Becoming slower as each second passes
All I feel is a cold anger bubbling out
As I fall face first in the water.
