I just EV Trained Cyndaquil

Only on sp.atk and its still not high enough.and idk what i did wrong.lol.its stats are now better then my original typhlosion but its effort value isnt maxed out i guess. the sad part is that i messed up cause it didnt even hit 300 in the stats.
anyone have some hints.
this next breed im gonna breed for a modest nature.lol.
but still any tips on ev training?

one stat can only have a total of 254

oh i forgot.its also trained in speed.lol.sory.i went back to double check but didnt get the chance to come back and change the post.

252 is the max needed per stat to reach the maximum boost of +63

It all depends on the nature of the pokemon, and if you got lucky with it's IV's. Also, base form pokemon don't get as powerful as the evolved forms..
