"That is enough! You will leave them alone. Go find some other poor creature to torment." Said the king as he sat in his throne. He was getting annoying with the boys' rivalry right now and would have liked to be alone. "Why don't you go find a different angel for yourself." He suggested, trying to calm himself down.
As soon as Sara left, he turned his back on the angel and walked over to his new violin. He picked it with a slight smile on his face. His violin was his best friend, and the only thing that loved him back. The smile soon disappeared as he listened to Valentine speak. "I knew nothing of it until you got here." He said softly as he brought the violin to his chin. Music was his life, whether she would have liked it or not. Be began playing a sad melody, one that he had composed a few years ago on his own.

Valentine looked to the ground and sighed. It looked like she was stuck. Plus her future husband hated her as much as she feared him. This was going to go no where. At all. Why couldn't her father choose someone else???Why her. She glanced around and listened to his song. It made her tear up a little. She wanted to complement his playing..but he knew by the way he glared at her he'd just get mad.
She listened , her tears quiet. She slid her cloak off and neatly folded it. She placed it by the clothing the maid had put away. Her wings were retracted. So her hair, was long enough to hide them. She looked...human. She wrapped her arms around her waist. She was afraid to speak..to move. She sat down on the edge of the bed quietly and listened.

Charles huffed. He would have what he wanted. "As you wish" his tone was snappy and full of acid. He bowed his head and made his way out and down the halll...

Caleb closed his eyes as he played. He became lost in his own world of music. Completely forgetting that Valentine was in the room. But he was happy in his own world. So happy that a small smile crept onto his face. As soon as the composition was done, he opened his eyes, the smile fading, and lowering the violin. He then looked back at the angel, noticing that she was tearing up. A small sigh escaped through his lips as he set the violin back on the table. "Do you play an instrument?" He asked coldly, deciding that he might as well make conversation if he was going to be sharing his room with her.

[sorry. my nets off and i can only post when i get connection ><]
Valentine wiped her eyes and looked down to the bed. "Piano" she said softly. She could tell he didn't want to talk to her. More that he hated her. She folded her hands in her lap. "You play beautifuly. But don't force yourself in making a conversation that you don't wish to have. It'll only end with sorrow" She was quoting an old poem. But not that he would know..right?
Her eyes cast downward and then to the door. "Charles isn't going to come back..is he?" her voice showed her fear. She was afraid of vampires but just saying Charles' name sent chills up her spine.

((sorry about not replying. I was busy for a while, then my comp broke and I'm sharing one with my mom now. So I don't get to come on that often anymore))
Caleb sighed as he turned to face her. She was right, he should waste time talking to her if he really didn't want to, but he felt it would make him seem a little polite if he was talking to her. He then followed her eyes to the door and shook his head to her words. "He's not permitted in my room. As long as your in here, or at least by my side, he wont harm you." He promised in some what of a sympathetic tone. He could feel her fear, and even hear it in her voice. He knew she despised vampires, but Caleb could prove to be different. Besides, if she was to be his wife, he was going to have to learn to show feelings, that, or at least protect her from Charles.
