Are you filling in your colors with the fill tool? The little white bits around the lines are what make me think that. The best think you can do for just basic line and color, is to keep them on separate layers, lines on top and color on the bottom. If they are already separated, you can set the line layer to 'multiply' and it will get rid of that white fuzz.
