[Poem] What would you do? (Discussion encouraged)

I found this, and found it interesting.

Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in?
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they’d been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn’t heard?
And wish you hadn’t uttered that last, loud, hasty word?

Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?
Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep up its usual pace?
And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing, and read the books you read,
And let him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you’d planned to go?
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?

Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they’d stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do?
If Jesus Christ in person came to spend some time with you.

Because the truth is, I feel a lot of us could not go to the door right away and open it. Can you share what you would do?

((Would you change your clothes? Hide sinful things? Change the way you speak? Hide the movies you know are not appropriate? etc...))

This really makes me think and convicts me. There are areas of my life I need to change; I need to stop being lukewarm in them (I read fiction so much more than I read the Bible; even though I read the Bible most days, in proportion, I read so much more fiction and it's saddening to think about).

And that's far from the only thing. I've been praying to make Him number one in my life in all areas, and I've got a lot of work to do; the good and amazing thing is He will help me.

To be pefectly honest, I'd invite the guy accross my threshold past the Sigil of Baphomet (Satanic Goat's Head and Pentagram) and down the hall to my living room where the GF keeps her Pagan Alter. plop him down on one of the three couches ad offer him a beer.

I might even go so far as to tell him where we keep the porn but only if he showed an interest.

I'd much rather be honest with myself and those around me. I could pretend to be a Christian, the way I did before. Or, I could be honest about being a Satanist. Which would you honestly prefer?

My people are free to choose or create our own god(s) to worship. Most of us just treat ourselves as our own personal dieties. I could not envision myself as a deity that is not honest.

Bow? I think Jesus (peace be upon him) is a hugging person OwO
