This thing Rapes spell or trap heavy decks. It also annoys Monarchs quite a bit. I once got a surprise Divine wrath on JD too. discarded a Van'Dalgyon, special summoned a different one, and used his effect to special summon the one i discarded. i drew three from artemis too. my opponant scooped immeadiately. XD

Also, Van'Dalgyon is a rape Dragon. if you can negate a spell, trap and monster effect all in the same chain (not possible, since after a single counter trap, only counter traps can be played), he'll get all 3 of his effects. (sadly they won't stack, so if you negate 2 of your opponants traps in the same chain, he can still only pop one card).

Artemis stacks, so you can draw a card for each successful counter trap in the chain. whoohoo for the legendary speed spell 4, which activates between chain links

I think I just found a reason to side deck Nobleman of Crossout

you may want to consider Forced Back as it's fast enough to counter Monarchs and kicks off your combos.

sadly forced back doesn't let me special summon van'dalgyon because it didn't negate a monster effect. the only counter trap that's broad enough for that is divine wrath. however, if i get some, i'm side decking it, just like drastic drop-off.

other effect negating counter traps are... i think pulling the rug and swallow flip, but they're not broad enough to work on every trigger effect, and the leave out ignition effects.

their is one in the anime that Rex Godwin uses, it's basically Divine Wrath without a cost. it's never gonna be released.
