Hello!

I'm going to try competitive battling for the first time, and I don't want my first matches to be crushing defeats. I'd very much like to keep battling in the future, against other real-life trainers as well as CPUs in the Battle Tower. (That's why you can also suggest which three I should use at the Battle Tower.)
So, now I'm trying to build a really good team to battle with. Can you perhaps help me?

These are the five Pokémon I already have in mind:

TORTERRA
Purpose: Physical Wall / Stealth Rock Support
Nature: Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
Ability: Overgrow
Item: Yache Berry or Leftovers
Moves:
STEALTH ROCK
LEECH SEED
EARTHQUAKE
WOOD HAMMER

LUCARIO
Purpose: Special Sweeper / Dragon Counter
Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Steadfast
Item: Expert Belt
Moves:
AURA SPHERE
SHADOW BALL
DRAGON PULSE
PSYCHIC

GALLADE
Purpose: Physical Sweeper
Nature: Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
Ability: Steadfast
Item: Life Orb
Moves:
WILL-O-WISP
CLOSE COMBAT
PSYCHO CUT
NIGHT SLASH

MILOTIC
Purpose: Double Wall / Bulky Water
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
Ability: Marvel Scale
Item: Leftovers
Moves:
SURF
ICE BEAM
RECOVER
PSYCH UP

TOGEKISS
Purpose: Para-Flincher / Staller
Nature: Calm (+SDef, -Atk)
Ability: Serene Grace
Item: King's Rock or Leftovers
Moves:
THUNDERWAVE
AIR SLASH
ROOST
AURA SPHERE

I also have Dragonite and Dusktops in mind, although I can also switch into something else as well (since especially Dragonite's possible move Ice Beam is already in use). And I'm ready to switch everybody from the team except Milotic. Any Pokémon is fine, although I'm not too fond of using legendaries - I rather not engage in uber battles.
Now, what do you think I'm lacking? Which Pokémon should I add to the team? Which team members should I switch, and into what? What moves should I teach if the ones I'm using now aren't good? Which roles are needed in this team? Are some of my choices too obvious?

Thank you very much in advance! cool

LUCARIO
Purpose: Special Sweeper / Dragon Counter
Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Steadfast
Moves:
AURA SPHERE
DARK PULSE
DRAGON PULSE
PSYCHIC
very basic, you have almost every type coverd here but bug, fire, water, grass, flying, but with the power this guy has and the neutral coverage on all those types make it ok, however you can switch out shadow ball for dark pulse, they cover the same types but have different resistances, and its one of the two non legendary pokemon to boast aura ball (aura sphere and shadow ball) the other being togekiss, which you already have.
now for item, choice scarf is a very good option here since lucario has so-so speed and it helps it back it up, choice specs is another option, expert belt because of the amazing type coverage you have makes a nice option, life orb if you want to be reckless, then there is always leftovers

LUXRAY
Purpose: BP-stopper / Physical Sweeper
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
Ability: Intimidate
Moves:
SPARK
CRUNCH
ROAR
RETURN
ok personally i like luxray but in competitive battles it kinda sucks, its move pool isnt that good and its kinda slow, i say replace it with with one of the others i say torterra is a great option with EQ, woodhammer/seed bomb, stone edge, synthesis/leech seed and holding a choice band or yache berry

MILOTIC
Purpose: Double Wall / Bulky Water
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
Ability: Marvel Scale
Moves:
SURF
ICE BEAM
RECOVER
PSYCH UP
as a bulky water milotic doesnt need psych up, if you want a stat boost you have two choices; calm mind which helps the walling, your other choice is to do rest talking, marvel scale gives it a 50% defense boost when it has a status effect and milotic and absorb other status' as well, leftovers is a must on any wall

TOGEKISS
Purpose: Para-Flincher / Staller
Nature: Calm (+SDef, -Atk)
Ability: Serene Grace
Moves:
THUNDERWAVE
AIR SLASH
ROOST
AURA SPHERE
its a standard para-flinch with great type coverage and a healing move, leftovers is a must

I also have Dragonite, Dusktops, Gallade, and Torterra

in the battle frontier your team cannot have have more than one pokemon holding the same item. i would say for your team of 3; togekiss first, lucario and torterra in the back
gallade wouldve been good but you have lucario, so...no
if you want to use milotic take out togekiss and start with lucario.

LUCARIO
Purpose: Special Sweeper / Dragon Counter
Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Steadfast
Moves:
AURA SPHERE
DARK PULSE
DRAGON PULSE
PSYCHIC
give it a berry to raise its stats
[ a pinch berry doesnt work on this moves set very well]

LUXRAY
Purpose: BP-stopper / Physical Sweeper
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
Ability: Intimidate
Moves:
SPARK/ thunder fang [thunder fang is inferior to spark, fang has less accuracy and only a 10% chance of either of its effects]
CRUNCH
ROAR
RETURN/ice fang [return is stronger and more accurate]
give it a berry that raises its attack stats [pinch berries dont work here either]

MILOTIC
Purpose: Double Wall / Bulky Water
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
Ability: Marvel Scale
Moves:
SURF
ICE BEAM
RECOVER
PSYCH UP
give milotic leftovers

TOGEKISS
Purpose: Para-Flincher / Staller
Nature: Calm (+SDef, -Atk)
Ability: Serene Grace
Moves:
THUNDERWAVE
AIR SLASH
ROOST
AURA SPHERE/ confuse ray [it cant learn confuse ray and it needs aura sphere to hit steel, electric, and rock, plus it gives great coverage
and give it kings rock. [um no leftovers it better]

Hey, thanks a lot guys! I updated the first post, replaced Luxray with Torterra and typed in the items I plan on using. Now I'm only one Pokémon short. I noticed that Dragonite's most potential moves include Ice Beam, which my Milotic already has. I guess I need to check which types my Pokémon don't already cover and add a Pokémon that does cover those types.
