You were the one who was so kind
Like no other I could find
Someone who was there for me
There were no thers I could see

You were there through good and bad
I really wish you knew what we had
But then you left and didn't stay
And took a part of me that day

I thought that you would always care
And never leave, always be there
But I was wrong and didn't know
That you did not think that was so

You took a part of me that day
The day you chose to walk away
I know you'll never think of me
And I just with that you could see

The things I thought that we could be.

I never knew that you would go
You were so special to me, though
Sometimes I think about you some days
And just imagine all the ways

You and I could have turned out
You always saw through my little pout
Things I thought I knew weren't true
But I was still in love with you

But then you left out of the blue.

I have moved on with my life today
I pushed my thoughts of you away
You've moved on with your life too
And I just wanted to say: I'm over you

And all the words I've spoken are true.
