Anyone in South Yorkshire? I'm in Rotherham (pronounced Rov-rum, for those who were born and raised here), which is next to Sheffield (SHEF-FEE-YULD) for those of you who don't already know. I'm originally from Kirkcaldy (KUR-KAW-DEE) in East Fife, Scotland though.
Where is everyone else from? 3nodding

I'm from south Nottinghamshire, quite near to Nottingham itself, but my paternal grandparents hail from Doncaster, which tenuously links me to South Yorkshire.

AyameKage Anyone in South Yorkshire? Ive never seen how it (or any of those Methil places) could be counted as East Fife. Originally from nearish Inverurie (Aberdeenshire) then a place nearish Dundee. I'm sure this is a repeat thread. Oh, and I'm not saying Kirkcaldy is anything like Methil so don't kill me. And if you do happen to be from Methil (*prays*)... umm... I'm sure not everyone there is that bad. *runs*

I went to Uni in Lancaster....okay, so it doesn't QUITE match with the title but hey, what can ya do?

Um, my girlfriend considered going to uni in Lancaster.
However, I don't recall ever having been to Yorkshire.

I haven't been there for years though, so maybe it changed. razz Ooh Methilhill has a reputation too. Just not quite as bad. But it could just be that it has Methil in the name. Leven has went downhill a lot too. Well theres still ok parts but its chavvy too. But Methil is undoubtably the worst. And from what I've heard always has been. A very long established ned hotspot. My Grandad once parked his campervan overnight there, (the campervan is longsince gone) on the street. he says its the worst place hes ever spent the night in. He used to drive back and forth from Whales to the highlands and did a huge amount of hitchhiking. Or "I'll kill this crow for you and you give me a lift across the loch"type things. And worked as a welder riggy. And emigrated to Australia. And emigrated back. I don't think neds like campervans.

Well I doubt Methil could be as bad as Rotherham where I live now. It's a horrible place. Leven's went downhill too? That's a shame, it used to be really nice. The park there used to have Hercules the bear and everything it was really cool. You ever seen that?
