Silky Slime Breeding Laboratory

Welcome, friends! Here is where you can breed your Silky Slimes and - if you're lucky - get 2nd Generation (Gen-II) or 3rd Generation (Gen-III) Silky Slimes that are only available through breeding. Have fun browsing around, and please feel free to ask any questions that you have in the Chatterbox!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Thread is currently open. Please read the instructions and look over the ordering form very carefully! If you fill out the breeding application incorrectly/insufficiently we may delete your order or go ahead and fill the order as we think best, and you may not get the exact Silky Slime you wanted.

How to Breed Your Silky Slimes

Please note that if two people agree to breed their slimes, only one person needs to fill out the breeding application, but we will need confirmation from the other owner that they agree to breed their slime with the other person's slime. The confirmation can be a PM to LabTech143 or a link to a thread in this guild where the agreement took place.

• Fill out the breeding application and post it as a reply to this thread.
  
• Send a trade to LabTech143 for however much you want (plus potion fee if you purchase one of the non-free potions). There are no set prices for the breeding process, so you can send as little or as much as you want, but we only accept gold. No items please.
  
• When the baby slime is born, LabTech143 will send you a questionnaire via PM so that you can choose your new Silky Slime's name and other such things.
  
• Send back the completed form.
  
• LabTech143 will send you your Silky Slime via PM and confirm the trade.
  
• Finalize the trade to pay for your Silky Slime and save your Silky Slime to your own computer/webspace.

Potion Menu

Love Potion - This is the standard potion used in breeding to interest your Silky Slimes in breeding. It comes free with your breeding application and is always used. The breeding application form has this marked as "yes" by default.

Murky Elixir - This potion guarantees that no matter what combination of Silky Slimes you breed, the baby will not be of a higher generation level than the parent Silky Slimes. If you want to use this potion please add 10 gold to whatever you intended to pay for the breeding (so your trade has to be at least 11 gold) and then put "Yes" in the breeding application form on the "Murky Elixir" line.

Sparkling Elixir - This potion guarantees that the baby will be a higher generation level than the parent Silky Slimes if at all possible based on the combination of the parent slimes. If you want to use this potion please add 100 gold to whatever you intended to pay for the breeding (so your trade has to be at least 101 gold) and then put "Yes" in the breeding application form on the "Sparkling Elixir" line. Be sure you're using a compatible combination of parent Silky Slimes so you don't waste your gold!

Guide to Getting the Silky Slime You Want

Common, Uncommon, Special Silky Slimes

The easiest way to get one a Common, Uncommon or Special Silky Slime is simply to purchase one from the Adoption Office. If you really want to breed one, though, the rules are simple; the baby will resemble the parents! So if you want a red Silky Slime, breed two red Silky Slimes together.

If you breed two different Silky Slimes together generally the baby will look like the mother, but this is not always the case, so you're taking a bit of a gamble. Silky Slime genetics are still a mystery. I mean, look at this place. Squishy, my plain green Silky Slime, is the ancestor of all of these other slimes!

Gen-II Silky Slimes

Gen-II Silky Slimes are Silky Slimes that can be created by breeding Gen-II and/or Common (standard colors, not custom colors) Silky Slimes together in certain combinations.

These are the combinations that have the highest success rate in creating an elemental or shiny Silky Slime:

• Fire Elemental Silky Slime: Fire x Fire, Fire x red, Fire x orange, red x red, red x orange, orange x orange
  
• Water Elemental Silky Slime: Water x Water, Water x blue, Water x purple, blue x blue, blue x purple, purple x purple
  
• Air Elemental Silky Slime: Air x Air, Air x grey, Air x black, grey x grey, grey x black, black x black
  
• Earth Elemental Silky Slime: Earth x Earth, Earth x yellow, Earth x green, yellow x yellow, yellow x green, green x green
  
• Shiny Silky Slime: Shiny x Shiny, Shiny x pink, pink x pink

You can get an elemental or shiny Silky Slime even if you do not use the exact combinations above, but the chances are much lower. For instance breeding a pink slime with a green slime might get you a Shiny Silky Slime or an Earth Elemental Silky Slime, but the chances are much lower than if you bred two pink slimes together to try for a Shiny or two green slimes together to try for an Earth Elemental. Please remember that getting a Gen-II Silky Slime is not guaranteed (unless of course you use the appropriate potion). You might breed two pink slimes and just get another pink slime instead of a Shiny Silky Slime.

Gen-III Silky Slimes

Gen-III Silky Slimes are Silky Slimes that can be created by breeding Gen-III and/or Gen-II Elemental Silky Slimes in certain combinations.

These are the combinations that have the highest success rate in creating Gen-III Silky Slimes:

• Sun Silky Slime: Sun x Sun, Sun x Fire, Fire x Fire
  
• Jellyfish Silky Slime: Jellyfish x Jellyfish, Jellyfish x Water, Water x Water
  
• Cloud Silky Slime: Cloud x Cloud, Cloud x Air, Air x Air
  
• Frog Silky Slime: Frog x Frog, Frog x Earth, Earth x Earth
  
• Planet Silky Slime: Planet x Planet, Planet x Shiny, Shiny x Shiny

You can get a Gen-III Elemental Silky Slime even if you do not use the exact combinations above, but the chances are super low. For instance breeding a Fire Silky Slime with an Earth Silky Slime might get you a Sun Silky Slime or a Frog Elemental Silky Slime, but most likely you'll just get either a Fire or Earth Silky Slime, unless of course you use the appropriate potion.
