I've been going out with my boyfriend for about a year. I don't have a job nor money to buy any presents or anything. So I'm thinking of writing a essay of how much I love him and my thoughts of him. What do you guys think? Is it a good idea?

I think it's a really sweet idea and lots of guys would love this. On the other had, if you're really over the top (and sometimes it's hard not to be!) than he might feel a little bit awkward about it. It really just depends on your guy and the seriousness of the relationship, which I obviously can't judge for you. But if you think he won't be freaked out by it, then I suggest go for it! I did this randomly for my bf one day and he loved it =)
YES!! Personally written things are the best. From a little note to a scrappy doodle to a book. Those are the best! You can keep it forever and it's 100 percent you.

Instead of writing an essay, why not do something like this.
If you haven't said the "L" word to each other, you could do reasons why you like him.

Ground Cinnamon:: I think an essay is a fabulous idea :3 It's more meaningful than a pile of storebought chocolate or something cliche like that. Or maybe you could make him food? XD Even if you're not very good at cooking, I'm sure he'll appreciate the gesture. Good luck, dear! <3

I considered making if for my fiance this year. 4 years ago, I filled a folder, the one's with the little metal things in the middle that you can add paper to, with poems, pictures, quotes, drawings, and a special letter with everything that I loved about him. So keeping with that tradition, I thought this would be really cute.
