Somewhere on pokecharms.com someone revealed that gamestop (I believe in us) is going to be releasing the pikachu colored pichu around the 30th of January and ending around the 4th of Febuary. If I learn anything more, I'll let you know.


Oh yeah, and what it does is it unlocks the spiky eared pichu in ilex forest when traded to Heartgold heart or Soulsilver. The spiky eared pichu you get from the in game event can never evolve or be traded in any way. However, I do imagine it will be cute and nice to flaunt around.

According to my information, the event runs from January 30th to February 14th at GameStop stores in the US. The Pichu will unlock special features when transfered to HeartGold and SoulSilver, and it comes holding an Everstone. It is available for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

I do have a GameStop near me, unlike ToysRUs, so I plan to go to this event if possible, and get one for both Diamond and Platinum. <3

One thing I would like to note about this event. I do think that this Pichu can evolve, but I think it must be in Pichu form in order to trigger the Ilex Forest event. So don't start training it yet and if you do, make use of that everstone it's holding cuz it would be a shame if you get a strong Pikachu/Raichu, but can't get the spiky eared Pichu from Heartgold/Soulsilver.

I got two males with Jolly Nautures. I wonder if they are all male with Jolly Natures. Also, I was surprised the first time I saw that Pikachu's base Attack was better than it's special attack.
