Sara's Meebo Meeting Report! 1/2/10

Meebo Meeting Report.

This report is not only for those who weren't able to make it to the
meeting. But also as a review for anyone there during the meeting.


The Plot:

Lady Angelishia revealed the Plot committee's Plot for the annual ball
during the meeting. Everyone was very happy with the hard work the Plot
Committee members put into the plot. And after changing a word or two to
make the character's speak sound a little bit more like Gods. It was ready
to be posted for the whole guild to see!


Art:

The Next topic we covered was the art committee. However they only
really told us what we knew, they are doing art for everyone they can.


Fundrasieing Committee:

No one from the fundrasieing committee could make it to the meeting.
So unfortunately we had to skip this topic.


News Committee:

The News Committee told everyone that we'd really wouldn't be in full
swing until the rooms are under way. At which point we'll be asking for
people to sign up with us.

Two Issues were brought up, The first of which is was how we'd be able to
handle reporting on every room this year as we couldn't really keep up
last year. The answer however the News Committee had ready, we'll be
looking for people to join us, one person for each room. That person's job
will simply be to give the News Team the News on the room's plot.

Those chosen will either be acting as Normal guests in their respected
rooms, Or play some other role given to them by the room's Hosts.
(Nothing like being Spys for the News Room huh?)

The Second Issue we weren't able to resolve during the meeting, and so
well be posted in a Announcement thread to ask for Ideas about how to fix
the problem. So please look for it and help out.


Bake Sale

TheLadyElmira who runs the Bake sale, informed us that she still needs
a lot of help! She needs both Artists and role-players to help make the
bake sale successful. So please go and help her out!


The January Event:

Poyudi Hytori announced that the event would lunch on time. January
3rd, as planned. It was also decided at the meeting that this event would
take place in the Gaia Community Projects Forum. Also that the event will
get new banners after the event has lunched.


Other Events:

Unfortunately no one from the other events were at the meeting. So we
had to skip them all.


February Event:

Shunatsu showed up just as the meeting let out, and so we were finally
able to learn something about the February Event. Shunatsu told us that
she really needs help with the event. She asked us to help her find people
to host the contests. So anyone that can help her out, please report to the
Feb Event planning Thread in the Community Sub-Forum.


New Event!

The ever helpful Lectern announced that he was planning to start up a
new event! A Murder mystery event! Wait murder mystery? Where you
ask a lot of questions and try to find the true? Who does that sound like?
Hmmm...... (In the background everyone is pointing at Sara.)

Oh well, I'll think of it later. Please go and help out what should be yet
another great event!


Committee Fluff

Envy brought up an issue a few of us had thought about before. Three
of the committee are all pretty much doing each others jobs, as each of
them seem to focus more on doing events to reach their goals. These
three committee's are the Contest, Fundraiseing, and Advertising
Committees. All the Contest and Fundraiseing committees do is make
events to raise funds, and these events are our main source of advertising
as well.

Envy questioned why we needed three committees doing the same job
that one committee could do. And many of us agreed with her. We
decided the best thing to do might be to combine the three committees
into a new committee. "The Event Committee." Whose job would be to
help people making events with anything they need, To see to it that each
and every event makes it off the ground and process on time, as well as
approving events to happen. In stead of making events themselves, as
many people in the guild already go off and make events on there own.
This new committee would make it easier on event hosts by providing
people that are ready to help out, instead of the event's hosts having to
go around asking for help.

Right now this is ONLY an IDEA. Envy is going to present what we talked
about to Bliss and Sabs for approval, and then we will move forward with
deciding just how to do this.


Ending Note

We covered a lot in that three hour meeting, but there were things we
couldn't cover as well. Hopefully the idea's we decided on will be of a
great help to the guild as a whole, and to the 8th annual ball event.

An additional note on the Art Committee: Kala will be taking over for broken during broken's absence from the guild. Additionally, the art committee is still needing help with people submitting their samples so they can be grouped more effectively.
