Just a few quick questions...

1. How hard/common is it to find someone who ca sing A Cappella?

2. If you can sing A Cappella should you be proud?

And a quick definition for those who may not know what A Cappell is:
To carry a tune throughout a whole song without being accompanied by music.

I've been told that to sing A Cappella is really hard and not very common. I was wondering how true this statement really is.

A Cappella was apparently used in the olden times in smaller churches that couldn't afford organs and what not. Apparently if one person can carry the tune without music then everyone else is fine with it.

I'm sorry if I spelled anything wrong here, in fact I'm not even sure A Cappella is spelled like that. Sorry to take up your time as well I'm just really curious about this.

i sing like that all the time coz my stereo isnt the best so when the speakers give out momentarily and can be dead for a long time i sing A Capella to the music that i hear in my head so that i can pick up where i left off.

i can, but prefer not to. my music and lyrics are better than my voice.

Thats good to hear that you guys can do it, but thats not what I was asking...perhaps I hadn't worded it right....

It's more or less difficult and uncommon because either someone can't carry a tune or just don't sound good without accompaniment.

Being able to do it well is something to be proud of.
