Sword of the Mountain (Prologue)

Okayz well...here goes.

prologue:

In the world of Alkay there's a tale that is passed down from generation to generation. Long ago the demon lord Kaminoste arose from Alkay's underworld to claim the world as his own. The god Helios and goddess Telindra wanted to stop him but they made a vow never to directly interfere with their creations for it could disrupt the balance of the entire universe. So they forged a magic sword made of the purest demonsbane and sent it down crashing into Alkay's tallest mountain, Mt. Cloudscraper. Many tried to climb the mountain to claim the sword and take down Kaminoste but all those who tried met a tragic end on their journey up the mountain. Then one day a man named Nel Saveheart, the mightiest warrior of his time rose up Mt. Cloudscraper facing all of the hazardous trials along the way and took the sword as his own to face the evil Kaminoste. After a long and hard battle Nel triumphed over Kaminoste and sent him back down into the demon world. Mt. Cloudscraper was renamed Mt. Saveheart and the holy blade that was named the sword of the mountain vanished from existence. People lived in happiness and prosperity after Kaminoste's fall. Then after 49 years the sword of the mountain fell from the sky again into Mt. Saveheart. Soon after a great sage predicted the return of the demon lord Kaminoste. However warriors were afraid to rise up the mountain for fear of facing the fate of those that came before them. So an arena was quickly built at the foot of Mt. Saveheart. The arena of holy heroes. The arena that held the tournament of the sacred sword. Warriors from all over the world came to compete in the challenge and the mightiest would be clamied worthy of climbing Mt. Kaminoste to retrieve the sword of the mountain. And so the female warrior Leslie Bond was the next to retrieve the sword and seal Kaminoste into the demon world once again. And her name was carved on the wall of heroes in the arena. Kaminoste was predicted to rise every 50 years and try to take Alkay again. And every time he tried another champion would rise and seal him again. it has been 298 years since the first time Kaminoste arose and another tournament of the sacred sword is being held. And so heroes again come to see if they were the ones chosen to take the sword. And so the story begins. The story of the warriors that have come to see if they were to become the next holy hero...

It's quite good, but I need to point a few things. First, break it up into a few smaller paragraphs. Then, it's easier on the eyes.

You have the same preposition issue in the next sentence, too. Another comma missing in the sentence after that, before the "but" and after "creations". Watch your "buts"; they usually are involved in commas.
Again, prepositions. I doubt you want to be formal with your speech, so I won't point out the sentences starting with "So", "And", or "But". Your idea is actually interesting. I'd like to read the rest of the book. It takes an approach that is classic and yet sounds exciting and full of action, like an old recipie but with added spice. Go for it!

actually twelve chapters of this book have been written. I'm going to tell everyone now that the prologue all the way up to chapter ten isn't as literate or long as some might prefer. However, chapters eleven and up will be longer and more literate so don't expect much for the first ten.
