Nice haul! I'd love to see the interior of the Bombard.

As you wish. :p

Not a lot there to speak of, since the huge gun takes up a fair amount of room, and the engine needs to go somewhere.

So much for that then, Forge World always advertised the model as having a detailed interior. I guess that's it then. sweatdrop

To be fair, it's far more detailed than the GW Bassie 'interior', here's a few pics of it with the gun plopped on top so you can see what's actually 'on show'.

How is the overall casting quality so far?
PostPosted: Sun Dec 27, 2009 7:38 am
A few slightly warped bits, and a few lumps of resin that needed hacking off, but all the detail is there. Got a seperate Bombard box and shells, is amusing seeing the different shades of resin between the shells that came with the box and the one from the Bombard itself.

My one complaint is that it lacks any real instructions whatsoever, just two photocopied sheets of paper with a list of parts and some WIP pictures so you have a vague idea of where all the bits go. Ah well, have yet more pictures, not going to glue the cannon and related bits on til after it's painted, since it'd just get in the way.

wow, really big gun... guard never seems to have a shortage of pie-plates nowadays...

We clearly have the best big guns to boot. You know you're screwed when the gun pointed at you needs a bulldozer blade on its butt just to stop itself from flying away when the recoil kicks in.

Also, have an updated InquisiChug, solving the problems of where to put the Inquisition symbol along with the Heavy Flamer/Bolter. whee

FW is notorious for providing poor instructions and shoddy quality. Only the really big kits get a detailed instructions manual. So far it's looking great, can't wait to see it with a splash of paint.

Just finished putting together the Manticore. Let us never speak of it again. gonk

On the plus side, have finally started painting up the retinue, along with a bit more work on the big guy himself.

Is amusing how my phone's camera seems to HATE taking pictures of some of my guy's faces, but not others. They don't look that bad in real life, I swear. D:

Been doing some more painting on the ol' Inquisitorial Retinue, also been working on a Catachan Special Weapons squad, along with a Death Korps Veteran Squad, featuring their version of Sgt Harker.

The paint jobs on some of them are from their original owner, pondering whether to stick with that or to give them a scheme that ties in with the rest of the army. Decisions, decisions...

Yeah, i'm probably gonna get a SM Scout's Heavy Bolter to replace the Valkyrie one that's currently on there.

Also, they're more WW1 French than WW2 German. :3
