TeaDidikai Myself, I'd find it odd. Why ascribe new mythology to deities who have their own myths? Well, I mean I would find their own myths and such. But I don't think I am going to do that. I will stick to titles for now...until they tell me their names haha.
TeaDidikai I was also thinking of those who just aren't pale at all. What would the implication be for those who are mummified? It is an imprint of their soul, really. Not like a ghost, just a shadow of their former selves.

Arcanist Angus Well, I mean I would find their own myths and such. But I don't think I am going to do that. Fair enough.

TeaDidikai I will stick to titles for now...until they tell me their names haha. How familiar are you with the concept of Kennings? A round about way of saying something? Icelandic, I believe.
Why?
TeaDidikai Hmmm... so if their soul refuses to depart? I think the soul refuses to depart when the person who has died does not know that they have died. Or does not believe that they have died. Or they are trapped in the upperworld by something. This creates what many call a ghost.
TeaDidikai And what of those whose soul has departed but their bodies remain quick? If such a thing is possible I am sure that said person would be a hollow shell. Still alive, but just...no life, no spark.

Arcanist Angus A round about way of saying something? Icelandic, I believe. Why? As well as Titles. wink

This creates what many call a ghost. What about the ones who know and simply don't care? This would include figures such as the Disir.

Arcanist Angus TeaDidikai Arcanist Angus Such as suicides? They move on into the River and become recycled as we all do. They forget. What makes you think the Disir have forgotten? confused I do not know what these Disir are, Tea. And if I did, would they have to be included in my worldview? The Disir are the Ancestral Matrons found within Norse Mythos. We know they were mortals due to the records we have in the Eddas of people actually talking to them.
As to why they would be included in your world view- since you're leaning on that mythos and claiming titles from it, to cherry pick seems a little off.
