Hiyas! biggrin

Just wondering how everyone fares and what types of projects we are working on at the moment. I'm doing so light SF fantasy playing around a bit with dimensional theory and finishing a short story spawned from abad poem I wrote years ago (nice that, huh?)

How goes the world of those who fence with a quill of iron? heart

Well, when I do write, I work on The Dragon Chronicles, and a as of yet unnamed Fantasy story.

The Chronicles, as I've said, is a rather 'realsitic' Sci Fi Fantasy novel. 9/10 things that happen have a scientific explanation, with Magic being the biggest one. It even makes sense O__o Also, only the main characters, Reaper, Toku, and Drake are able to actually stand up to ranged and close weapon hits. Drake, because of unique spells he's cast on himself, and Reaper and Toku because... well, they're dead. They don't feel pain. Everyone else can take some hits, however, a rocket to the face, and anyone is dead.

The unnamed one follows a Dragon Slayer turned mercenary, Palus, as he escorts two men, Nathaniel and Matthew, to a dragon nest.

It then just descends into pranks, pervertedness and a**-kicking on a LOL worthy scale. Oh yes, it's that bad. twisted

Right now I'm writing my pretty little novel, 'When Life Ends'. And, hence the title, it involves dead people. And the afterlife itself. If I'm extremely lucky, I shall get it published one day whee , so I can't really give much away, but there is a lot of horrible things that happen to the main character, Jack. Starting with his past, and his death. His death is rather, um, rude. And cruel. And I disgust myself for doing it, but yeah. But I suppose all books must have horrible things, or there is not plot. So yes. But maybe I should have given him a more peaceful death. Ah well. But yes, I'm writing that.

I am currently working on editing my very first completed novel, Ravensblood. If you don't want to know what it's about, then don't read the next part. XD

It's a SF piece set on a double planet system in a star-system about four hundred light-years from Earth. The story follows a young woman named Alanora who joins her planetary army hoping to gear up for war with their neighboring planet in order to enact her revenge upon them for killing her family. However, everything is not as it seems when she is accepted into their ranks. It would seem that someone has infiltrated their ranks and begun a complicated series of incriminating operations which might just land her friends in jail, the army in chaos and her home world in submission. And if that weren't enough for her to handle, she also finds out that she's telepathically linked with someone else--and he lives on the planet next-door. Things are sure to get messy when her dreams become reality and her mental companion discovers the same thing happening to his home...

Anywho, when I'm not editing this monster, I'm writing short stories for random contests and I've finally begun writing the second novel, Shadowblade. Whoo-hoo! I'm busy.

Well, I need to stop being lazy and continue with Officially Dead sometime soon. I have a short story that I have yet to start, and a novel I'm itching to write that would blow Officially Dead out of the water.

Alas, my lazyness prevents any of this from happening.

If you haven't read what I have posted of Officially Dead, then do it, now.

We wouldn't want any... Accidents to happen, now would we?

Whoo boy, let's see now. as far as serious works go, I'm writing what is, for now, a two part series of books called Flipside: Evermore and Flipside: Evangelion. Both books evolved from other, older works. However, before I really get into those, I want to "warm up" per se, with a few other, shorter, less involved novels.

For example, Connections, Confections and Coffee to die for is the only non-fantasy story I've ever seriously begun, and it's really just for fun. It's about a woman, Wren Scott, a freelance journalist in Buffalo, Ney York, who finds herself quite suddenly without her fiance, her job and her previous life goals. She moves back to her midwestern hometown and reopens her eccentric grandfather's bookstore. While she's working on getting the store up and running, she finds out that her old neighbors, who lived on the land adjacent to her family while she was growing up, have been royally screwed over by her father in his will and on top of that are now raising their two young grandchildren. She also gets roped into voulunterring for the school system, running a bake sale and campaigning for the new student body president.

It's just a bunch of good fun. In addition to that, I'm co-authoring three novels and writing a round robin (3 people) for one. Yeah, I expect to be setting new writing goals by the time I'm, oh, 50. xd

Well, I'm technically working on a lot of things but my baby right now is a multi-chapter called Just Another Bible Story. It's my first posted multi-chapter, as well as my first supernatural, though I have yet to post it on this site.

I'm such a neglectful parent though, it's been so long since I really worked on it, poor baby sweatdrop ...

Well right now I am working on a Physics exam coming up on monday...just kidding. I know you don't care about that.
My 2 love children right now are a horror/suspense novel called Guests and a fantasy called Fairy Tale (yeah, original tital huh?).
I finally got my husband to start reading them so he can critique them...and they are off! I'd post them here, but I've had my work stolen before and I want to try and get them published one day. It's just a fear thing, I really do love you guys!
