making your own 8-bit/electronica music

does anyone know of any good prgrams for making 8-bit and/or electronica music? preferably free. i'm currently using FamiTracker.

I've used ACID Pro for most of my stuff, and a glitching VST for my 8-bit sounds.

I'd have to get back to you on specific program names.
